Waterfront Classic Kiwi Bach
This classic waterfront kiwi bach sleeps up to nine people. There is a swimming pool as well as safe swimming for kids at the sandy beach.
-designed for entertaining all year round
-two sheltered covered outdoor areas and an outdoor fireplace.
-fish from the rock wall on the property
-plenty of secure parking for a boat and other vehicles
-an open fire, heat pump, double glazed windows, underfloor insulation.
-very private
-walk to Mapua Village and the Wharf (brewery bar, wine bar, dining ice creams)
-family friendly
-2 canoes
This is our family bach. It is classic kiwiana where some things have remained the same for the last 70 years, but there's still modern conveniences like a dishwasher and heatpump. You can really relax and not be too precious. It is great for kids.
Cosy in the winter and cool in summer. A great base for day trips to the Abel Tasman National Park, wineries or the Great Taste Trail. Only 15 minutes from Richmond and Motueka and 25 from Nelson City.
Access is via a lockbox.
GST tax invoice available on request.

Lovely peaceful location just outside Mapua on the ocean. We loved the privacy, the space inside and out and the comfortable bed. All the amenities needed for an extended stay were provided. Host was very helpful to answer any questions. We like the location for day trips to Abel Tasman area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and very well appointed with everything we needed. Views were amazing especially sunset. Loved the outdoor space. Was nice to read about the history of the bach and see the height markings on the wall from the previous owners.)It is a scramble to get down to the beach from the rock wall although you can walk down the path a way for easier access ( unfortunately we had someone on crutches so she couldn’t get to the beach)Would definitely stay again. Thanks

Loved our stay at this hidden gem. View was great, the bach was clean with everything you could need and private. The outdoor fireplace was a great way to catch up with family before we headed off on our South Island road trip.

We had a wonderful 3 week stay in this lovely Bach which was the perfect place to stay whilst we settled into New Zealand life after emigrating here. Beautiful location with the sea on your doorstep and lovely peaceful country around the property. Well equipped and a toasty fireplace for the spring evenings. I can imagine it would be fantastic in the summer with the pool and the outside space.

Very well equipped family bach. We loved the location, looking out across the bay. The kayak was a highlight too. My only suggestion would be to bring your slippers as I got quite cold feet despite the heat pump, open fire and radiators in the bedrooms. The host was generally quick to respond and very helpful. What a wonderful place. Amazing location and view. We were very confortable and the bach had all we needed and more and was clean and tidy. Would really come into its own in the warmer months given how its so well set up for outdoor living etc. But we were warm and loved in the winter too. Thanks for sharing it.

Stormy getaway
While we couldn't utelise everything this wonderful Bach had to offer (it would be AMAZING in Summer) it delivered in other ways. The cozy fire, indoor drying racks and washing machine were perfect. Wooden floors and fully equipped kitchen. No flooding, location felt safe in the storm and the sea views were perfect.

Beautiful part of the country and a lovely kiwi bach. The beds were super comfy and hosts were fantastic and helped when needed. Loved getting to see the Weka that hangs around the property. Bach was super comfy and had everything you could ever need.

Great family getaway
Stayed here with our family of 5 and loved the place. Right at the beach for the kids to explore. Lots of amenities in the house to make it comfortable.Emma was really helpful and great with communication when we needed anything. Would recommend /stay again! :)
