Beautiful Property & Perfect for our Family

The location of this property is absolutely perfect - the view of the water is perfect, the dock was great for our 32' boat, and the pool was perfect for a dip. Inside the home was nicely renovated, and complete with all the comforts of home. We would recommend this property for anyone in the area - it was a bit pricey, but a great splurge for our group.

Great house in a great neighborhood. Grounds, pool, tiki hut and dock well maintained. We boat and fish so it would be improved by having access to the dock extending into the cove. The dock provided to renters gets very shallow at low tide but it’s manageable. Biggest downside is the overbearing nature of communications on rules. 3 or 4 signs reminding you about eviction if you step foot on owners dock and constant threats to take your damage deposit if you mishandle things like garbage. I’m sure they have lots of “stories” but I expect to be treated as an adult.

Perfect family getaway

We arrived on a chilly Christmas Eve and found the pool warmed to bath water temperature for us. The view from the kitchen/living room and master bedroom is nothing short of amazing. Since we stayed during record cold temps, there was a slight problem with the heat in the master bedroom, but a heating tech came and fixed it within 10 minutes. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking. My kids, who range in age from 19-9, loved everything about the house. My sister and her husband stayed as well—we liked that there was room to spread out when we needed space, but it was also easy to hang out in the main area and have family time. We loved walking to Sombrero Beach in the mornings. Barracuda Grill, La Niña, and Sunset Grill were our favorites.

Pictures don’t do justice!

The rental property, in its entirety, is amazing! The beds are comfy, the couches are comfy, and the poolside loungers are comfy. With a mixed group of family and friends, there were no complaints- and that says A LOT!!!!

Perfect Week

Wonderful property that is well furnished and has everything you can need to spend a delightful week in Marathon. Within walking distance of Sombrero beach and convenient to everything. Recommend Frank’s Grill for dinner and La Niña for Cuban take out. Turtle hospital is also worth a visit. We hope to be back to enjoy the screened porch with an awesome water view

Amazing house and pool! Quick walk to beautiful beach!

Our recent family vacation to the keys was fantastic! This house near Sombrero Beach was exactly as listed. Beautiful decor, open space for family games and gatherings, comfortable beds, clean, clean, clean inside and out. The walk to the beach was enough to get steps in but not far at all. We saw nurse sharks off the dock. Pool was refreshing and clean. Simply fantastic! We will stay again!

Snorkeling in Marathon

Our stay was perfect. The house was in a perfect location to Sombrero reef. There was a small spot at the channel that was shallow enough for my son to practice snorkeling too. The house was perfect for our family and close enough to bike to Sombrero beach and Publix. I would recommend this house and plan on returning in the future.

2019 summer VACA

Where do I begin?? This house was FABULOUS!! The view from the kitchen table looking out onto the water was gorgeous! Our family of 5 plus 2 guests was perfect!! The hurricane in the gulf made the waves a little rough but that didn’t stop us from going to the light house to snorkel, fish all over and sightsee in Marathon as well as Key West. We hated our week to end but we’ll stay here again next trip! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

Great house, great and beautiful location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is in great shape, with a beautiful pool out back looking over a beautiful canal. It's great to be within walking distance of the beach, and just a short drive to a couple of grocery stores to buy stuff for cooking meals. Which we did plenty of, as the kitchen was well adequately stocked with the tools you need to cook. Most everything was in working order, and when we had an issue (of our own doing) the rental company responded by promptly sending someone over. I pointed out to the guy a few minor things that were wrong (dead lightbulb, janky screen door handle) and they quickly remedied them as well. Check in and check out was very easy. My only complaint is that it would be nice if there were a larger recycle bin, as we struggled to find space to recycle everything. However, if this is the biggest complaint I have, that says a lot about how nice this place is. And, not something that the rental company can do anything about, but there was a bit of construction across the water (they were building new docks for some of the new units across the way) which was a bit loud during the day, however, it was a mild annoyance and nothing the rental company could do anything about. Just kind of luck of the draw.

Perfect property for our stay! It felt like home in the kitchen. It had everything we needed to cook wonderful meals. The house was immaculate! Beautiful out door spaces also. 5 minutes from the store and less than a 1/2 mile from the beach. Definitely booking for our daughters wedding in August. Pam

Fantastic location but "Boaters Beware"

We stayed for a 7 nights with my family.....extremely clean home and grounds!!! If you have a boat....BEWARE! They say its ok for 24ft and smaller boat.......NOPE! I was extremely disappointed with the dock accommodation's and would have left if I had somewhere else to go. My 22' boat stuck out past the seawall at least 10 ft. A boat will not lay up flush against the upright stations because there is an aluminum ladder that protrudes out farther then the protective stations...it has sharp corners and can easily damage a boat as well. I had to use large industrial boat fenders to keep my boat away from damage. My boat sat about 8 inches under owners boat motors (owners boat is on a lift) at high tide. This was the only way to even fit my boat at the dock due to the location of the upright stations cleats etc. I'm a professional boater for a living and these accommodation's don't work. The home is again very clean. The bathrooms are very outdated featuring avocado green and mustard yellow toilets etc. That said....everything was clean and in working order. The master bedroom shares a door with another room so I personally wouldn't call it a true 4 bedroom but we put our kids in the shared room and made it work. The swimming pool turned everyone's hands and feet white as if the fiberglass pool surface was chalky and coming off and it was very difficult to scrub off our bodies. My only other complaint would be the dish washer, washer and dryer......very very noisy! It was a bit inconvenient at times. In conclusion....perfect location, nice older home that was clean with great views but the owners need to do some upgrades to the bathrooms and appliances in my opinion to be in this price point. We have rented in the same Sombrero Beach area in the same price point and have had slightly higher accommodation's. I mean this review to be a helpful tool to anyone planning on renting but also to the owners. There is major potential here but the dock situation and way its advertised need to be rectified so people aren't surprised upon arrival and left scrambling and frustrated.

Family Vacation

This was the perfect house for our trip. The location is great with the beach in walking distance and stores just minutes away. The view from the back of the house is beautiful. Super clean and very comfortable.
