BOOT KEY RETREAT - OPEN WATER VIEWS - Just updated in 2019
Not your typical canal house, there is plenty of privacy here. You'll be in your own secluded, retreat. Your own private heated pool, 130 ft. concrete dock, a 400 lb. Ice Machine Plus a beautiful private HOT water outdoor shower,
Foosball Table, and views! You're not looking at the neighbors across the canal and they're not looking at you. Your view is of open water, nature's own show. There's always something going on. Fish swimming and splashing, exotic birds searching for food. You can pay more, and you can pay less, but we honestly believe, you won't find better VALUE for your vacation dollar.

You'll watch boats in the harbor and the countless dingies comings and goings. Bring your binoculars, you never know what to expect. You can relax, be yourself, feel at home here. A simple evening here will be a lifetime memory. It's a real 'Retreat' from your normal everyday life.
You'll have 2 kayaks and 4- bikes for your use at no additional cost. If your kids are old enough, these can be real fun entertainment for them, or you! Our dock, 130 ft., will accommodate a small flats boat or a 35 ft center console, or both.

World class Fishing, Snorkeling, Diving, Sailing, and Kayaking waits for you inshore or off . The Crane Point Nature Hammock, The Dolphin Center and Piegon Key Historic Site are nearby. Party Boats operate out of Marathon and we have a World Class Charter-Fleet. Boot Key Retreats' location to nearby beaches, offer unlimited opportunities. There's, newly renovated, Sombrero Beach and Florida Country Club Golf Course about 1 mile away. Bahia Honda State Park is right over the 7-mile Bridge. Both these beaches have bar-b-que grills and are rated among the 'Best'
There are plenty of local restaurants, bars, entertainment and shops. When you want to venture out and explore the other islands, you're right in the middle, it's only an hour from Key West or Key Largo. Give us a call or send us an E-mail.

The house was very nice. Loved the beachy decor. The outdoor patio/pool area was awesome. It would be a little close if you had 8 adults as the bedroom with 2 beds had double beds, not Queens. The manatees came by our dock 3 times. It was awesome to see them so close.

Boot Key was a wonderful experience, it truly felt like home. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to cook. The furniture inside/outside was even nicer than the pictures showed. We have 3 boys who lived outside fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding & swimming! Plenty of fish off the dock to keep the kids entertained. Constant wildlife around with daily visits from multiple manatees. There was a minor issue that the property manager immediately tended too. We would definitely stay at this home again!

Great Hideaway

My family and I had a great time at Bootkey! It’s perfect for those who want to fish, kayak and just spend the day outdoors. It also is comfortable inside if you’re wanting to stay in. Excellent sunset views and beautiful.

Great Property

We really enjoyed this house. The dock area was nice as well although the water was a bit dirty at times. There were tons of jellyfish at all times so it wasn’t really a great place to get in the water. The house is beautiful and nice. We would definitely consider coming back one day.

What a delightful, clean, convenient property. Trish helped us with any questions we had. Loved the view, the comfy beds, the well laid out and equipped kitchen, the foosball and ice machine. Just a joyful place to stay. Can’t wait to come back! All tvs are smart tvs, in case you’re looking for cable. Just fyi.

Wonderful Trip!

Had a great stay! Home was perfect for our family of five. Clean and well organized. Great amenities. Kitchen was well appointed. Loved the pool. Great location for easy access to all of the spots in the keys that we wanted to visit. Communication was prompt and clear.

Overall a very nice house and property

House and property were clean and pretty much as described. There were a few minor issues with things that were broken or not working when we arrived. The house had a lot of extras, like the ice maker, extra fridge and freezers which were great for fishing. The only thing that we missed were beach chairs. The canal is very narrow and made it a little tough to turn a boat around. By far the biggest complaint, which is completely out of the property owners hands, is the neighbor across the canal. He played loud music almost every day and some nights until 4am and it appeared that he lives there. Overall, it was a good location with plenty of good restaurants and sombrero beach close by.

Beautiful place

This is our 3rd time staying at Bootkey Retreat and we just love it. The house includes a fully stocked.kitchen, linens, blankets and bedding. The location on the canal is breath taking. The swimming pool was beautifully kept. Just overall a great place to stay you definitely wont be disappointed. The property manager Trish was very helpful and prompt getting back to me with all concerns.

Beautiful Location

We enjoyed the house it was clean and met our needs perfectly. The bonus of the kayaks and paddleboards was amazing. My kids (19) and (14) spent hours in the canal. We went to the Marathon Bait and Tackle and were able to rent a couple of fishing poles for $25/each for the entire week. This also provided some great entertainment. The Florida fishing license was only $30 for the week. The pool was awesome to relax in after a few hours of exploring on the kayaks/paddleboards. The host provided a basket full of beach towels for renters to utilize. We would book this house again if we were to come back down to Marathon. However, I did tell my husband that the next time we need to rent a boat for the week. I would have loved to do a lot more exploring.

A great week

Property was easy to enjoy with plenty of space inside and out. We spent time in the pool every day, enjoyed kayaking & paddle boarding in the harbor, biked to the seven mile bridge a few times and you are close to a lot of great restaurants.

Great Property!

This was the second time we have stayed here. We enjoyed it just as much as the first. I love the pool and the general location of the house since it's pretty central in Marathon. Trish, the property manager was great to deal with and we never had to wait if we had a question about something. We all loved the new outdoor furniture upgrade since the last time we were there. You never know... we may be back again some day!!
