The location was fantastic - we were a block away from a wine tasting, and 3-4 blocks away from multiple restaurant choices. We brought a lot of food and took much of it home due to the easy access to restaurants. Kitchen was stocked better than many places - actual heavy duty sauce pans and frying pans rather than cheap aluminum stuff, and all the accessories we needed from cookie sheet to vegetable peeler were there.
Being that close in town had a minor downside - literally, it's a block off 290 and a big service station is over the back fence. Traffic noise wasn't bad at night, though. No big deal, but sitting on back porch at night didn't have as much of a country feel with the lights from the service station over the fence. But again - no big deal - the location offered more benefits in terms of walking distance than any downside. The back yard is large and fenced in, so our big dog was happy back there.
