"I booked this house for my parents, who traveled 14+ hours for a funeral. My mom & Dad loved the place, commented on how nice it was, and how convenient it was, considering the nearest hotels we're far away and cost just as much. They also said that next time they were in town, they'd look to see if this house was available."

"As with all hotels, the floor in the room always turns my socks brown but otherwise, a decent hotel. Felt safe and it was quiet. We traveled with two toddlers. All was fine."

"If you see the photos you can tell exactly what you're going to get here. It's not a 5-star resort, but the owners have clearly poured a ton of time and effort into transforming this little old house in a functional, convenient place to stay that's just filled with character. I appreciated all the amenities, the wifi worked flawlessly, and the house was well-stocked with everything we might have needed. Thank you so much for letting us stay there!"

"We didn't get to spend as much time on the property as we would have liked but we enjoyed our time. It was a peaceful spot on a secluded property. Meeting Dexter the Donkey and the cats on the property, as well as enjoying the scenery, was the highlight. The house is quant, maybe a little cluttered with unnecessary furniture making the spaces feel a little small, but we loved all of the plant life and nostalgia as well as the coffee area. The upstairs was a little rough for sleeping as the ceilings are low and the steps are steep, and as a larger girl I was worried the bed frames wouldn't hold my weight, may be better suited as book nook. but that is a personal opinion. The downstairs bedroom is cute, but could use a slightly bigger bed for couples (even though a full is listed, and is accurate) and maybe some shades to block out that 6am light for those that like to sleep in. Of course, these are all personal things that I prefer when I stay places. The host was amazing at checking in with us and making sure our needs were met. This is a perfect place for a few singles just passing through or wanting to get out of the city and live the country life for a few days."

"We had stayed at this property before, but were pleasantly surprised with the improvements and upgrades we noticed. Especially noteworthy the spa and very nice pool that make relaxing after a tiring trip so much easier. What made the biggest impression, however, was the wonderful coffee(!!) and the friendliness of the kitchen/breakfast area staff. The whole area is very neat, clean, well equipped, nicely furnished!"

"I booked this home because it seemed perfect. It allowed dogs. It was close to Scott Air Force Base. It had enough space to host a family breakfast the day after my brother in law's Naval retirement party. When we finally got the key details, after traveling 16 hours from Fl, we entered an extremely unsanitary home. The kitchen counter had rice on it. The stove and oven looked like someone cooked on both without pans, the tub and shower were too dirty to use before cleaning. The master bed had evidence of sexual leftovers. The carpets weren't vacuumed. Also trash day was Wednesday- the same day we arrived, yet two full cans were sitting against the garages. We really had no options but to purchase cleaning supplies, mattress covers, and a coffee maker- because there wasnt one, and make it work. When brought to the owner's attention and photos shared, her response lacked experience in hospitality. I shared photos of the sex-stained sheets and her response was " we dont have white sheets" as if I provided them? They were grey, they were messily fixed to the mattress without mattress covers. My husband spent the majority of the day on Thursday cleaning- on our vacation. I politely requested that we be refunded cleaning fees, or discounted 1 day's stay. Her response was to offer me dicounted future stays. I took photos and am HAPPY to share. Im disappointed and would NEVER rent a place in that condition."
