Ailemle birlikte ilk defa ama kesinlikle son defa olmayacak mükemmel bir deneyim yaşadık. Oda kesinlikle oldukça büyük ve tüm imkanlar vardı. Çatıda ve yan tarafta olmak üzere 2 ayrı havuzu, bitmek bilmeyen el yapımı ve ücretsiz limonatası, gayet lezzetli kahvaltısı, mükemmel yemekleri, harika ilgili personeli, hoşgörülü ve yardımsever sahibi ile birlikte biz harika 2 günlük bir tatil geçirdik. Yemekler dışarıya göre çok uygun, çok güzel ve farklıydı. bu 2 günü bize mükemmel hale getiren Alpaslan bey'e, tüm servis personeline, mükemmel aşçı Yalçın bey'e çok teşekkür ederiz. Bir daha tereddüt etmeden gidebileceğim, güvenebileceğim harika bir otel.

Got the job done

We weren't looking for anything in particular, my family (wife and three kids: 9, 7, 5) and I just need to find somewhere in the Marmaris area to stay over the weekend to visit some friends. On the site, this hotel boasted a family type room that would sleep five. We made it work. There wasn't much floor space to speak of when the couch unfolds (to sleep 2 kids very snuggly) and the cot was employed. But it got the job done. We had somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was included and served its purpose of filling our stomachs - nothing to rave about. The hard boiled eggs seemed like they were boiled for the morning before. We didn't spend much time at the hotel. When we did, it was to sleep, shower (the slanted roof in the cramped shower got the better of my head a time or two), or to play in one of the two pools. The pools were quaint but nice and clean. One on the roof with no shallow end, and one on the main level with shallow and deep parts. Kids loved it. The owner was nice, and several of the staff were extremely helpful, offering to help in any way they could. Very pleased with them. The hotel seemed to have a hard time figuring out how to make the payment work with hotels.com but it seems that was resolved.

Prima verblijf, matige schoonmaak

Juni 2017 verbleef ik een week bij Scala. Ik regelde via het hotel een shuttle om van de luchthaven naar Turunç te reizen. De Shuttle was goed geregeld, hoewel deze wel duurder uitviel dan wat op de boekingssite stond aangegeven. De kamers waren basic maar voldeden. Redelijk nette badkamer, goede Airco en vrij goede bedden. We maakten een keer gebruik van het prima ontbijt. Dit ontbijt bleek achteraf erg duur uit te vallen, zeker in vergelijking met de prijzen van ontbijt bij de horeca in het dorp. Het personeel sprak helaas slecht Engels. Dat was lastig bij de onvoldoende schoonmaak. Volgens de boekingssite zou dagelijks worden schoongemaakt. Volgens een kaart op de kamer om de dag, bij navraag bij het personeel, na te vergeefs al een paar dagen de schoonmaakkaart aan de deur te hebben gehangen, bleek ’t om de drie dagen te zijn, terwijl na vier dagen nog altijd niets was gebeurd. Na aandringen werd gedurende de week uiteindelijk één keer schoongemaakt, erg weinig naar mijn mening, helemaal als je bedenkt dat wc-papier bijvoorbeeld niet kan worden doorgespoeld en dus al die tijd moest worden bewaard. Hierop na een hotel waar je volgens mij prima kunt verblijven. Pluspunten zijn de rustige ligging, de gastvrijheid van het personeel en de goede Airco op de kamer en ook het feit dat we op de laatste dag de kamers de hele dag mochten houden, nadat bleek dat onze vluchttijd was gewijzigd. Minpunten vond ik de matige schoonmaak en de hoog uitgevallen prijzen voor ontbijt en Trans

Out of season getaway

The hotel is recently refurbished so the rooms are well decorated and look like new. They have AC, a large fridge, simply appointed balconies or terraces, toiletries in the bathroom, new large flatscreen TVs although you can only get BBC World News if you are English speaking (Channel 3604!!). Robin is the star of the show who speaks very good English and looked after me well through my stay, accommodating my request for fried eggs instead of boiled for breakfast and the inclusion of melon, all at no extra cost. Shame you cant eat breakfast outside as the hotel has an airy conservatory style room instead. Maybe you can but this was not offered. Room cleaning was hit and miss although as a solo traveler my room barely needed cleaning. The hotel is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the beach and main town and set against a mountain. This does mean the hotel gets the shade earlier than some other hotels but due to way Turunc faces a lot of the resort starts getting shade from 18.30. It has a small ground level pool and a larger roof terrace pool with plenty of sunbeds & shades. It also has seating at the front & back of the hotel where the seating at the back is cut into the rocks with cushions provided. When I left the management team insisted on photos and sent me on my way with a few shots and a bottle of water for the transfer. It was a great holiday!
