"This was an amazing find! The room was spacious with a separate dressing area and huge bathroom and spotlessly clean. The staff of this family-run hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The fix-priced menu for dinner was excellent and inexpensive and breakfast was brilliant with scrambled eggs made to order and a wide selection of savoury and sweet items. "The rating of this hotel on Expedia’s website is rather misleading. The historic building is fantastic, but the rooms are very basic, at best at the level of a two stars hotel. The aircon was not working during a week with temperatures over 32C. When asked, what they will do about it, the staff said it cannot be repaired before the day of our departure. No alternative room was available. We had to insist on the staff sourcing a fan for us. They didn’t even suggest this themselves."
