Tech dies

The house was immaculate. The view away from the road (23a) was WOW. Rocky the rooster was cool. However, it was on a main road (minor issue). But most troubling was the lack of internet. The host gave me the internet link, but it did not appear on my list of available links. Major problem since I was there to look for a place to buy to live. Sorry, Starbucks free wifi doesn't cut it. So, If your life depends on internet access, don't stay here. Otherwise, it is a slice of heaven.

Quaint farm cottage

Haley and Jeremy are perfect hosts. The cottage was small, but very clean and cozy. It's only a short drive to downtown Mars Hill and a quick jump to Asheville. The farm animals were fun to see and the three cats I met on my walk were very friendly. I would recommend curtains on the living room door since it faces the road and it is a straight shot view to the bathroom. I traveled with my mother and a disabled sister and we were constantly reminding her that she couldn't walk around in her nightgown because there was no covering on the window and to shut the bathroom door when she showered for the same reason (she's used to living alone so has to redevelop door-shutting habits when traveling). Otherwise, it was a great stay. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the living room which is great if someone in your party snores. :)

Beautiful property close to town

Enjoyed rural scenery only minutes away from grocery store and coffee shop. House well stocked with essentials. My daughter especially enjoyed the toys. We came to Mars Hill to visit friends and to hike in Pisgah.

Cozy farm Cottage

This little cottage had all the basics we needed for our ten night stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen bright and workable and the outdoor setting quite beautiful. Although it took us a few days to adjust to being so close to the road, we slept well at night, enjoyed our occasional interactions with owner and family and of course, the chickens were a delight. We would stay here again.

Perfectly quaint

Loved the simpleness and the nature. Woke up to chickens, rooster and sheep in the morning and it was a welcome reprieve from the city.

Enjoyable weekend away

We came to Mars Hill for a friends wedding and needed a place where our two young kids could have some freedom instead of being cramped in a hotel room. This was perfect. We could walk to check out the animals or just hang out in the house. House was clean and had everything we needed.

Wonderful Cottage

An absolutely awesome place to stay especially with children. We were free to roam the property which our 4 year old son loved. The family is wonderful and very welcoming. We will definitely return!

Family Fun on the Farm

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of four's Spring Break getaway. The cottage was nice and clean, and it was great that there were a few toys, book, and movies. The farm itself was amazing. We really enjoyed being able to walk around the property, and we all fell in love with the animals on the farm, including a Great Pyrenees who was definitely a gentle giant. If you hike to the top of the property, there is a beautiful view and our girls loved the fire hose swing! It would be nice if the shower was just a tad bigger and if there were a few more kitchen utensils to help with cooking, but we didn't cook too much while we were there., and the shower was still nice and warm! We had a wonderful time and made memories to last for a lifetime. Thank you!!

Awesome farm

Stayed for a week with two small boys. Home is minimalistic but has everything you need to feel comfortable. Owners make you feel welcome and allow free range roaming of their 60+ acre property. There are a few farm animals that my kids loved to feed. It’s just a large, good-natured, hard-working family with room to spare on their land and in their hearts.

Great getaway

The home was nicely decorated, with very comfortable beds. The sky view at night was unbelievably great with so many stars! We were visiting friends in the area so didn't have a lot of time to enjoy everything the farm offers. However, hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed being there. The inclusion of children's books and toys in the cottage are a nice touch for families with kids and our almost 2 year old really had a great time. Thank you!

Nice Place for a Homebase

Property is a cute little house next to the owner’s home. Farm is large with areas to roam around. Family is friendly, the forge experience offered there would be fun to do next time. Very close to Mars Hill which has any essentials you need, only 15 minutes to Asheville and endless hiking if you wanted.

Cozy place for a mountain get-away

Beautiful area, the farm was amazing, the owner's family was very friendly and accommodating. The house itself was comfortable for our size group, though I'd give 3 stars to the bathroom, particularly shower - small and not very comfortable. But overall, a wonderful place to visit!

Winter stay at the farm

My family and I were looking for a secluded getaway to spend time together. We found it! The hosts are so welcoming. It is located within 30 minutes of endless opportunities to hike or go to Asheville for the tourist spots there. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the mattress was in the master bedroom. Our favorite part of the trip was seeing snow and hiking in Cherokee National Forest.

We had an amazing time Jeremy and Haley are terrific hosts and really make feel at home.

The location is ideal as your away from Asheville enough to feel the peace of the country but still only 15min away from downtown to take advantage of all Asheville has to offer.

Cozy New Year Stay

We stayed with Haley over the New Year holiday and had a wonderful time. It rained most of the time so we stayed in and played games which were provided in the cabin. The cabin is close to Asheville and the Blueridge Parkway. The farm is beautiful and the beds are soft. The kitchen is well equipped and the hosts provided plenty of towels.
