"The room was not exactly clean, the towels had some stains on them which we didn't have the stomach to use, the bed sheets also had some stains, but we thought it was fine until the towels, as it did seem washed, but still stained. The room does NOT have a window, the place smelled AWFUL! We ended up buying an air freshener for the place, it didn't help much. There was one small window that we couldn't reach, but we felt it was outrageous that it was never mentioned there wouldn't be normal...

"Expedia messed up big time!! The property was beautiful and the fantastic staff helped us through this nightmare, which was caused by Expedia, The booking was never confirmed with this hotel, However Expedia confirmed, Took payment and carried on sending us instructions and directions etc, We arrived at 2am and there was no key in the safe area, We couldn't get in touch with any one! "Clint was super-helpful, communicative and hugely accommodating. The room was beautiful and well-maintained, with a fantastic roof terrace. The decor was stunning. Zurrieq is a sleepy little location but came alive during festival - if going in late August make sure you’re ok with fireworks hahaha. Ten minutes by cab from the airport and half an hour from Valletta. Definitely would come back off-season when it’s not hotter than the surface of the sun!"

Top Marsaxlokk Hotel Reviews

1926 Le Soleil Hotel & SPA

8/10 Good

"Stayed in mid October for a week. Purchased the signature suite. Pros: spa massages and facials were excellent, staff was always friendly and did their best to help, breakfast was good although always the same, rooftop pool was excellent. You can walk to the marina and shops easily. Cons: Always Book Ahead, They use an app for this when you get there and the staff seems new to it right now. The beds are stiff as a brick. Some prefer this? The views in pictures are a bit misleading but that’s marketing for ya. A LOT of constant construction around but not much noise? Sea view is not the sea view more like a sea angle. As a hotel I would give it a 8.5, as a honeymoon spot probably a 7"

Malta Marriott Resort & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"Nice updated and clean hotel. Beds are a little firm and you need to bring a top sheet as in Europe they don't use top sheets just duvet and bottom sheet. Concierge staff were amazing helping us with whatever we need. Stayed for 2 weeks so took advantage of the breakfast buffet. They had a good variety of foods to choose from. If ordering lunch or supper was a bit pricey so we ate mostly at restaurants around the hotel. Lots to choose from as this hotel is in a nice location 25 minutes walking to Silema or the other way Balluta Bay area. General manager took time to meet and talk with guests."

Azur Hotel by ST Hotels

8/10 Good

"The room was very clean and a good size. It did appear that finishing touches were needed regarding the ceiling and fixing of patio doors. Also the road entrance is not finished and it's quite a steep step up yo the main doors. The staff were happy to help with any questions we had and were very polite and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful but the room was quite small and the seating was very close together which made it tricky to get in and out of the chairs. We didn't sit out on the balcony as our view wasn't particularly pleasant as we were overlooking many sides and back of high buildings. I do feel the hotel although quite basic is value for money"
