Very close to train station but try and get a room not facing the train station due to noise. Wc was seprate to the shower which is a minor niggle. 15 mins walk to old port and lots of shops nearby. Lots of mainly Arab food places open late and very early and dead cheap on the door step. Feels relatively safe despite the riots dying down. Mareilles is not dangerous like the media states. Metro station faces the hotel. Pool use costs extra and I was not aware of this, need to pay 30 euro for a reservation slot. Airport shuttle starts at 3.30 am each day (?) but was cancelled on my arrival due to strikes but no issues on way back at 4am. 15 euro single ticket to airport.

We traveled around this city and a friendly greeting costs very little but seemed expensive for the lady who we encountered first. We checked in the pm and the staff also told us very little about the property, breakfast or hours of operation for facilities. Location fantastic. Room and amenities amazing.

A comfortable and clean room, and the staff were friendly and happy to help when problems arose. The neighbourhood is not amazing but as a solo female traveler I felt totally safe in the hotel as my room was on an upper floor facing the interior courtyard. Unfortunately there were some issues with the hardware in the bathroom and the room key had to be reset both days I stayed, despite keeping it in its envelope inside my wallet. Other than these issues, a good hotel.
