“We stayed here for an overnight and were pleasantly surprised by this motel. It is a basic accommodation, but very clean with a comfortable bed free coffee, great location and very reasonably priced. We will certainly stay here again in the future. Highly recommend it for the price!”

“I wish to commend Area Hotel General Manager, Carlos Guzman, who sat at the front desk while his staff had called out sick. Carlos was very kind, courteous and curious about what brought us to the island, and when he learned of our nephew’s wedding and our unmet hope for 2 adjoining rooms to accommodate a daughter and grandchildren, he unsolicitedly upgraded our room to a 2 bedroom suite, which offered the five of us plenty of room and sufficient sleeping areas, as well as a full sized……

“There is a unique charm to the building, inside and out. The Living Room instead of a Lobby, the dining area with coffee set up- a place to enjoy a coffee or take out meal with a beautiful ocean view. Our room was charming and clean. The office staff was helpful with directions, bus schedules, suggesting restaurants, offering to help us w/ luggage up and down stairs, setting up taxis for us and more. We loved our stay. ”
