Beautiful sunset on John’s Pond

The studio has a feel of a homestead with a beautiful sunset view over Johns Pond with its own private beach. The neighborhood is very safe and peaceful and also has its own community beach as well.

The main house with a side small attached unit for guest.

Private beach down a walkway with kayaks and sitting area.

After your day of exploring the cape, its time to take a glass of wine to the deck sit back and put your feet up. Enjoy the sunset but don’t forget to take a look in the front yard, You can see the moon rising.

John’s Pond offers: Swimming, Kayak, Fishing, Boating, Jet ski, etc.
We are a short drive to Mashpee Common, Restaurants, Shopping, Bike Trails, Hiking trails, Golf Courses and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket is about 20miles

The stay was very disappointing due to several issues throughout the stay. Check in was easy, wifi was good but went out one night but was fixed after a couple hours. The host is on property (shared rooms of house with locked doors) with many other guests staying in basement. People constantly coming and going and no curtains on any lower level windows makes you feel on display at night when people walk by. Had to purchase own paper towels and toilet paper after 4 tp rolls and 1.5 paper towel rolls were used over 8 days. Host offered to wash beach towels and wouldn't give them back unless an extra cleaning fee was paid. There was also animal fescies (dog or cat poop) under the bed. Beautiful sunset and lake however the hospitality was awful.

Visit to Cape

Sweet home is comfortable and clean and has all that you need. We stayed for a week and took advantage of the lake with kayaking and paddle boards. The bedrooms are upstairs along with a full bathroom. Kitchen has gas stove and lots enough room to cook and eat. Loved sitting in the chair listening to the Bose in the morning drinking coffee and watching the humming birds. Overall, had a wonderful stay. Property has chickens and gardens and all sorts of things to discover. Thank you Gin, would def stay again.
