Private Beach Sanctuary - Matapouri Holiday Home

The scandi-meets-industrial design of this sanctuary provides comfort and warmth. Each day can be more beautiful than the last here, with amazing sunrises, and activities such as sunbathing, walking, swimming, or enjoying a rejuvenating soak in the spa pool surrounded by bush, views and birdlife.

The modern kitchen is equipped with every convenience, flowing seamlessly to a large deck with unobstructed views through glass-only balustrades. Open the panel doors to blur the line between indoors and out, connecting you seamlessly with nature.

Relax across flexible living spaces, including a master suite with a hide-away Smart TV. The luxury ensuite features floor-to-ceiling louvred windows that bring the bush setting right to your bath. Downstairs, a spacious bunkroom doubles as a home office, while remote-controlled blinds, fly screens and bidet attachments add to the comforts of this luxury retreat.

Make treasured memories fishing, kayaking, surfing, and paddle-boarding with many white sandy beaches nearby. Woolley’s Bay is sheltered by rocks at the near end and popular for swimming, while less than 2km up the road, Sandy Bay is popular with surfers. Just 5 minutes south is family-friendly Matapouri beach, bay, and estuary. A popular walk leads to Whale Bay, while Tutukaka, 15 minutes south, boasts the marina where you can book fishing and boat tours to Poor Knights for snorkeling.

Nearby conveniences include a general store, chip shop and seasonal woodfired pizza moments away in Matapouri. Tutukaka offers Schnappa Rock and the marina restaurant for casual dining, while Ngunguru offers a café, takeaways and grocery stores for all your needs.
Please note while older kids are welcome, due to the stairs and ladder, and lack of childproofing, the house is not suitable for smaller children.Please note that the spa is not available in winter monts and is shut down during this period.Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year.
