Towada Matsumi Waterfall Hotels

"Restaurant on-site required reservation so could not dine there. Fortunately, the staff who handled our check-in gave us very good suggestions on where to dine as we reached the hotel after 8 pm. Complimentary water, apple juice and cookies were nice extras. Liquid soap, shampoo, etc., were good and produced locally. Beds and beddings were very comfortable"

We missed the peak fall leaves but that did not detract from the natural beauty of this area and we still enjoyed the waterfalls of Oirase gorge and the small loop around Tsuta pond greatly.
