The Space:
This historic home owned many years ago by doc Archer the town dentist and his family was built in 1945 after World War II and completely remodeled in 2017.
You will Enjoy the Comforts and warmth of the remodeled home and added hot tub. The wood burning stove insert is terrific. See the house handbook for instructions there.
The new theater room has a 65 in TV set up with streaming video from many channels like Netflix and Amazon Prime and YouTube TV. These can be used for free. If you wish to pay for a movie, please login with your own account.
Four bedrooms each have lovely beds with new mattresses. There are also 3 futons upstairs for more guests. The bedding for the futons can be located in the bathroom and in the bedroom window seats.
All of downtown McCall is within easy walking distance. This includes ice cream alley of course and dozens of excellent restaurants and shops.
For water sports we like to turn to Cheap Thrills for rentals. Public beach access is close by at art Roberts or Legacy Park or Browns Beach or Rotary Park. We also love the North Shore Beaches and kayaking up the inlet there.
Hiking is terrific throughout the region. We like day hikes to jug mountain peak east of town and throughout Ponderosa State Park and around Tamarack Resort as well as the Green Gate area up Warren Wagon Road.
Both Brundage Mountain Resort and Tamarack Resort are a short driveaway for skiing Bliss. The little ski hill is terrific for learning. Ski equipment rentals can be found downtown in a couple of places. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are great at Bear Valley on the way to Brundage or at Ponderosa State Park.
A number of golf courses are found in McCall and at Whitetail and Jug Handle Mountain Resort.
Other activities close by include the bike BMX track and skatepark just a block away, the paved bike trail also just a block away that goes all the way down past the activity Barn, bocce ball in the courtyard of Bistro 45, disc golf just south of the high school as well as at Brundage Mountain Resort and Quaker Hill on Warren Wagon Road. Mountain bike trails are amazing throughout the hills between the lake and Brundage Mountain Resort as well as at Tamarack Resort.
Guest Access:
The whole home is available for your use. There are a couple of locked out closets that we ask you not to tamper with. Please keep sleeping areas to the rooms on the Main and second floor as the basement is not set up for egress needed for sleeping rooms.
The Neighborhood:
We love our neighbors so please be respectful of them and the wildlife that passes through. Some homes are vacation homes but many are full-time residents.
