This property is being torn down. I made a reservation at a property that was in rubble when I arrived. Closed. Condemned. Dark. I had to drive and find somewhere else to stay. Take their hotel off your search so this doesn’t happen to someone else.
This property was completely abandoned. it was in a very shady part of town and it was scary to pull into the lot of this abandoned structure at night. All windows had been broken and it appeared vagrants were lining in the rooms.

Cancelled my reservation in August and said they would be closed
This review is not related to Vista Inn, that Hotel is closed. It relates to the Econolodge. The location was not a problem but the rooms are smelly and musty. I should have gone to La Quinta, also owned be same group. I would have paid a little more which would have been OK
The property we had booked end up bei g closed because it was appropiated by the city of Memphis. We were offered and accepted another hotel in the Medical District. We accepted mainly out of convenience of not ha ing to look for another hotel and also because we were not familiar with the ciry of Memogis. The hotel is located at a busy intersection, and even though there were some recent renovation, it looked run down and the room had a obnoxious smell. On acceptimg the room we were told, because of the inconvenience , the hotel would provide a shuttle service to Beale Street. When we inquired about this we were told the cost was $5 and the service would only be available until 9pm. We ended up using the Uber service instead. Overall a very disappointing experience and i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

While this motel is fairly average generally, it's in a great location. Older style motel where you drive up and park outside your room. Limited security (relying on a single door), and safe was locked and could not be unlocked to use (we checked).
Curtains were faded and had holes in them. Furniture was worn and dirty.
Easy parking on site - we had a car which we used to visit Graceland, Sun Studios, Bass Pro, Civil Rights Museum/Lorraine Motel. There is a pool which we did not get a chance to use.
Short walk to Beale St, although need to keep your eyes open and your wits about you as some interesting characters around. Plenty of fast food options further down Union Ave (by car).
Overall not a bad base for exploring Memphis, and you get what you pay for!
Prisvärt motell nära Bale Street. Rena rum och trevlig personal. De har shuttel från hotellet till centrum. Tyckte det var lite dyrt, så vi tog taxi. Nära till Sun studio. Måste ha bil till Graceland.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The property was out of business when we got there.lt was a good thing as it was a total dive..we had to race around and find another hotel.better not be charged for this one!!
The location was the only good thing, just a quarter of a mile from Beale Street.
However, the place is very worn down and the staff was rude and arrogant. Everything was charged extra even toilett paper and the room was only made, if I was in the room.

Disliked: Amenities
Vista is permanently shut down, we were at the Econolodge.
I could best compare this place to an Econo Lodge I stayed at in the middle-of-nowhere, Texas. Walking distance to Beale St is about the only perk.
Not-perks: There is no free breakfast. They 'don't do that anymore.'
Hidden fees for using card ($10 debit or credit card fee)
Really rough area.
3 small deflated pillows.
Wall patches.
Cables everywhere.
2 of the 3 shower condiments were empty.
Air conditioner sounded like a 737 taking off.
You get what you pay for is all I'm saying.
The room smelled like urine, there were cigarette holes in the comforter's, the fire alarm was dismantled, the shade on the lamp torn, bathroom disgustingly filthy!!!!
Prior to my reservation I tried to call the motel several times. No one answered and the number redirected to a random cell phone voicemail with a full inbox that didn't match the listed phone number. Based on this shady circumstance I decided not to go there, and it sounds like I will still be charged for the room. Expedia should remove this listing, this place is totally unreliable and I hate to think what would have happened if I had gone there and had any concerns as a guest.
Fire ants in the room, got into our luggage and bed and bit us. Disgusting, called the front desk and they suggested we call Expedia. Neither did anything in return for us. On top of the fire ants, the light bulb was out, there was no remote control, looked horrible out our window with broken furniture and trash.
We only stayed here for 2 nights this week (thank god) as we visited Memphis whilst in Orlando for 3 weeks. It cos us $84 for both of us for 2 nights....what a waste of money. The door wouldn’t lock on the first night as we were coming out so all the young lad working there could do was change our room. Following our day out we couldn’t get back in! After about 20 mins the same lad had to go and get a machine to reset the lock on the door. The rooms are not clean, there was a dead moth behind the bedside cabinet and the balance sheets were stained. We did just need a basic hotel for 2 nights, but didn’t expect a slum! I want a full refund.
