Beautiful Village House with Pool

Our house is within 200 metres of the River Mayenne which borders the Loire Valley, offering ample cycle rides along the tow path and canoeing. For keen fishers, there is also night carp fishing along this stretch of water. Our house has been fully renovated, mixing characterful stone walls, beams, terracotta flooring and logburner with modern luxuries such as a jacuzzi and pool. (Open from end of May until October) Whether sipping wine on the terrasse watching your children playing in the water is your way of relaxing or venturing to one of the region's many chateaux and parks, you will find yourself fully immersed in a pretty, friendly village and will enjoy all the house can offer. There is plenty of space for larger groups however our beautiful master bedroom with jacuzzi in the en suite would also suit a couple looking for a romantic break. For those with older children needing exam revision, French tuition can be organised upon request. One bedroom is downstairs, suiting families wishing to travel with elderly grandparents.

Lovely property, disappointing owner

Owner responded in a very cavalier fashion to issues at the property on out arrival. Failure to provide services eg wifi had a detrimental effect on our ability to enjoy a much looked forward to holiday. Clearly an end of season rental with some tired amenities and some cleaning issues.

Beau séjour en Mayenne

Maison très spacieuse, la demeure est très agréable et très belle. Le gîte est très bien fournie en loisirs (raquettes, ballons, livres, jeux de sociétés, puzzles, CDs...), équipements de cuisines ... Bonne situation géographique , proche de jolis petits coins de Mayenne à découvrir. Petit bémol pour l'eau de la piscine qui semblait un peu trouble.

weekend confortable en famille

Gite confortable car 4 SDB. grande cuisine bien équipée et un très grand salon. L' espace est vraiment appréciable à l'intérieur pour un groupe de 10 personnes . A l'extérieur grand jardin et piscine pour les séjours d'été.. Procédures d'arrivée/sortie et horaires très souples et appréciables.. Par contre communication et précisions avant réservation et l'arrivée, hasardeuses et trop rares. linge de lit sur demande. Pas de volet sur toutes les fenêtres, d'où lumière du jour dans certaines chambre et un sommeil perturbé. Logement de caractère mais sur bord de rue et dans un lotissement.

Lovely family house with heated pool

We stayed here as a family of four but obviously sleeps many more. Very spacious house with large bedrooms and bathrooms. Huge bonus for families is there are plenty of toys, games and books on site for the children to explore and the swimming pool is heated which means even if the weather is not perfect they can go in all the time. The village is quiet and has a pretty centre with a little basic restaurant by the river which you can take a peaceful walk or cycle along. Nearby in Daon you can hire pedalos/canoes and there is nice outdoor restaurant and playground. The only things to watch out for are that you need to bring your own bedding (not a problem but just know before you book) and if you were a larger group there probably isn't enough kitchen stuff, chairs etc. but we were fine. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. ps if you like slightly eccentric sculpture museums can highly recommend the Robert Tatin museum c30 mins away

Agréable villa dans La Mayenne

Très chouette villa dans le département de la Mayenne (et non la Loire) dans laquelle nous avons séjourné à 3 familles (avec enfants -6 ans). Nous aurions espéré une maison mieux équipée pour ce standing là (ex: transats, chaises de jardin & vaisselle en suffisance - parasol correct). Les chambres sont très spacieuses, 2 salons permettent à chacun de trouver son intimité. Belle région si vous appréciez le vélo (mais ne vous attendez donc pas à y visiter des vignobles) et activités à faire sur rivière (pédalo, bateau, etc.). Activités réalisées avec les enfants : visite du parc animalier 'L'arche' (10min), balade en poney et accrobranche (L'Orbiere à Forcé - 30min). Je recommande mais invite le propriétaire à améliorer l'équipement pour une meilleure adéquation avec le prix demandé.

Maison de charme et accueillante

Maison très spacieuse et avec beaucoup de charme. Si le beau temps avait été au rendez-vous, nous aurions profité de la piscine. Dommage; Il manque néanmoins des chaises dans la salle à manger. Et soit un tabouret dans les salles de bain ou des accroche-serviettes. Cordialement JCHG

Superbe séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour lors du week-end de pâques avec un groupe d'amis. La maison est très belle et spatieuce. Le jardin quant à lui et grand et plat, idéale pour faire du sport. La terrasse est également très grande afin de profiter du soleil l après-midi et en fin de soirée. De quoi se reposer et manger au soleil (barbecue mis à disposition) ! Nous n'avons pas pu visiter les alentours de la ville. Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la piscine car nous étions pas encore dans la période estivale. Dans l'ensemble nous sommes très heureux de notre séjour !
