Apartment is OK, payment was a big issue

Traveled to Miami from abroad and the host asked me to pay via money transfer first, and then in cash. I couldn’t do it that way, so after several days they sent me a payment link for my credit card.

Clean but very stressful check in/getting basic items

I booked this months in advance, booked for 7 people including 4 adults, 2 teens and a 4 year old. I sent a message the day before asking if they needed to verify ID, all I received back was generic check in information. When we got off the plane at 6 pm I had several messages saying that they needed to validate ID before check in and that they had been trying to reach me all day. After sending the id and waiting I received no reply to I called. I only received a call back after several calls and we were already at the condo building waiting to check in. When we got to the condo it was clean but there was no bedding for the sofa bed, there were only 4 bath towels and 2 wash cloths, none of the remotes had batteries in them, the door wouldn’t lock and 75% of the wall outlets did not work. It took until 11pm to get everything worked out. It was a frustrating evening and I had to make 3 calls to VRBO because the host wouldn’t answer the phone or respond to my messages. It was the worst experience I have had on VRBO.
