Despite not using the TV, Moxy has charged us $700 for replacement of a TV, 2 days after check out.
We advised Manager that we were only in Miami for 18 hours for a meeting and stayed at Moxy due to location for meeting, the TV was NEVER used during 1 night stay, yet Moxy Wynwood team and Manager were comfortable charging a $700 penalty.
The room was $200 on Expedia, but we have been fraudulently charged $700 by Moxy Wynwood for a TV we did not use. This presents challenges as now we will need to start checking EACH applicance, TV and Item in every Marriott property before checkout with a member of their staff.
This is outrageous as I am a Marriott Rewards member and only used Expedia to book this Marriott property because of a security block on the credit card attached to my Marriott reward account profile.
Will take legal advise and also discuss with bank how to deal with this fraudulent $700 charge taken in bad faith by Moxy Wynwood Manager and Team. Terrible to think that these business practices exist with a Marriott flag property. Will also file formal complaint with Marriott Group and Rewards Team.
