No view just another building so had blind down most of the way. Breakfast at sister hotel not the greatest not much choice and cramped seating, what was served was passable. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit tired bathroom door didn’t operate properly but bathroom decent, blind a bit stiff to open.

Where to begin? First night woke up to realizing we slept in dirty sheets with blood stains. Second day we had no hot water and had to take cold showers. Third day we had no electricity until 4:30 in the afternoon. Pool area is in a separate sister hotel and there was hair all over on the floor. Coffee station was never set up until 8:00 so spent an extra $100 going to Starbucks each day. Beach towels were worn like rags. Open drug dealing in front of the hotel from a truck and the people hanging out were eyeing my daughter and talking about her to the point that we went up into the room by 9:00 instead of enjoying the porch. Only positive is the location but needless to say we will not be returning.

The pictures on the expidia listing are false advertising. Rooms are small and not ocean view as the listing says Rooftoop pool makes it look like there is an ocean view and that’s not the case . The property is a dump . My wife had panic attack due to all activities going on out side we felt uncomfortable and when we explained the situation the staff seemed to care but refused to refund us when we checked . We were checked in for like 1 hour . It took 3 hours to get checked in due to the system apparently being down and nothing was offered in compensation for the problems . We checked in on March 1st when we could and checked out the same day . I would never recommend this property to any one .

Our stay at the Penguin Hotel was amazing! The hotel is in such a great location and about a 2 min walk from the beach. It’s also very close to public transportation to get to other neighborhoods and close to shopping and restaurants. Carmen was such a pleasure during our stay and always made sure we had anything we needed. The hotel provides beach towels and access to a rooftop pool as well as welcome drinks. If you’re looking for an affordable but quality hotel in Miami stay here!!!

I never got to check in. They had no electric and told me to book elsewhere and then lord to Expedia and said I was a no show. When I went there and asked them to please check the cameras they said they weren’t on bevause there was no lights. If that’s true then how it goes to show that no one was able to check in.

The staff and service plus the location has made this my new Miami Beach place of stay. Luggage holding and early check in is a godsend with vacation traveling. The walk to the beach was short and near the Art Deco section of the beach. Police are near and keep the area relatively safe at night. Unlike other beach spots this area does calm down and able to sleep at night without a club jamming music

Power went out around 0500 and was out until around 0930 and went out again atound 1000. I understand it was out of their control, but guests should be comped for it. Instead, the staff acted as if it wasn't a big deal and we were told to deal with it. This caused the a/c in the rooms to go off and a lack of hot water and yhe ability to dry our hair while trying to get ready for our trip.
