「This house is perfect! Everything we wanted to see/do was within an hour or less. On days we weren't out and about we were able to relax and unwind. The house was spacious for all of us to have privacy or gather together. There are so many options available for activities at the house. The kitchen was well equipped as it had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the view was spectacular. Definitely will stay again when in the area.」

「This was our second time staying and we would go back again. Home was clean and had everything we needed. The area was quiet, lake and beach were pretty. The only negative was the amount of goose poop on the property, both front and back although i dont know how that could be prevented.」

「The check-in process was a breeze and we ran into zero issues with getting into the house. We arrived after dark as we had stopped to check out Mackinac Island on our way up. The driveway is lined with woods, so driving in you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. It rained a bit while we were there so we weren't able to use the fire pit, but that is ok as we were all exhausted every night anyway. The mosquitoes were pretty bad as were the black flies, but that didn't stop the kids from...

「The property seemed clean and comfortable. The heating system worked well. We cooked several meals there and enjoyed 4 nights of excellent sleep. We also used the outdoor grill, using wood, and found it easy to use as well. I would definitely stay here again.」

In June, mosquitos were formidable, but a non-issue with the right spray and mitigation. Cell service was very poor, which is a pro and con. Can call out via Verizon and have necessary contact, if needed. Host was very good to communicate with and shared a great location with us. 」

「The Sunshine Shack is conveniently located near downtown Newberry. The house is very cozy and my kids loved the basement area with pool table and games. We had an issue with the refrigerator while there and the owners responded quickly and remedied the situation as fast and well as they could. They were very friendly. We loved the binder of restaurant and activity suggestions (Pizza Place was excellent, we also loved the ice cream at the raccoon store!) Huge empty garage if you need it and a big...

「The home was very clean, comfortable and well outfitted. Weather made our original booking dates notice. Elijah and Marcella went above and beyond to accommodate us by moving our dates. We will definitely be back!」

「This trailer is a perfect base home for site seeing in the area. It is about one hour away from several upper peninsula activities. The town is quiet and appears safe.」
