You are quite immersed in nature. There will be geckos in your room and the birds and insects are right outside. It's almost like camping with a comfy bed. "

"Had a wonderful peaceful experience at this cute house. Plenty of cookware to use. Everything as it should be. Saw some beautiful sunsets from the dining table and even caught some Orionid meteors in the dawn. It’s also close to Honaunau Bay for snorkeling. Great spot to spend some time."

"I absolutely loved this location for our stay on the big island. Checking in was smooth and Gregg gave me a call personally to make sure everything was good. The house is right by Pebble Beach which is very convenient for activities like swimming and snorkeling. There’s snorkeling equipment available at the house which was great. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. The drive to Volcanoes National Park is about 90 minutes. I loved the views from the house and having a very large deck complimented that nicely. I was able to do some astrophotography when the sky cleared up since most of the big island has skies rated Bortle 1. If you want to see the milky way, andromeda, constellations, or any deep space nebulas definitely think about staying here. I loved this experience and want to come back again in the future!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the house in Captain Cook and wish we could have stayed longer. The views are just stunning and we spent our time in the comfortable upper level admiring them. The home had everything we needed and our host was very responsive to every question. They also had chairs, umbrellas and other beach items for us to use."
