Peaceful and pleasant

We loved our weekend stay when we were in the area for concerts at Alpine Valley. Clean, comfortable and fun, with the pool, hot tub and hiking paths on the lovely property. The plants in and around the house were inspiring. We would love to stay again if we are in the area!

A magical place

Loved everything about the house and property. House is definitely 70s mod, but it has charm and worked just fine for a few days trip. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The land is beautiful, so much to explore and see wildlife. It was a great escape from Chicago!

Nature’s Best!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful property! Since we traveled with a one-year-old, her Grandparents and parents thought it would be fun to find a place for an all-inclusive stay. We swam in the perfect sized and temperature, pool, hiked the property trails and cooked in the well-appointed kitchen. Memories were created here!

Awesome getaway home for us

Family of 4 who enjoy the outdoors, this place was awesome the kids swam in the heated pool, the hot tub was very nice and the hike to the ponds to fish was also great. Very relaxing and at the same time plenty to do. Communication between owner was very good and simple, gave heads up for the pool cleaning folks coming. The house was very cozy as well with plenty of room to get away from our normal days and just relax. Great place. Great owner.

A slice of heaven!

We absolutely LOVE the kettle house and are so grateful the hosts are willing to share it! It is absolute perfection. We can’t get enough of the heated pool, hot tub, nature walks and great views from the living room. Thank you so much! We can’t wait to come back!

Awesome getaway at the Kettle House

Perfect place to escape to! Family with teens loved the pool surrounded by trees and the hot tub in the screened patio. Layout of house was great! Open and bright kitchen-living-dining with view of pool and woods. Nice blend of rustic setting and updated house. Easy check-in/check-out. We will be back!

MId-Century Retreat

My wife and I needed to combat cabin fever, so we escaped to this mid-century "cabin" atop a wooded Wisconsin hill. Regardless of the irony of it, Kettle House couldn't have been a better spot for a relaxing weekend. The fireplace set the mood for doing nothing but chilling. We highly recommend it.

This house is all about nature. From watching the chipmunks zooming around out the floor to ceiling windows or hanging out on the patio and swimming in the pool - you will be surrounded by wildflowers and birds chirping. The kitchen is well appointed and we had everything we needed. Thank you!

Lovely home in the forest

What a lovely gateway we had in this property. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful scenery, hundreds of birds coming to the house all day. The patio was perfect for evenings of conversations. The pool and jacuzzi were ready to use. There are small but perfect for us. We plan to come back next summer. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Perfect for our outdoorsy lady trip- take 2

We enjoyed our stay here so much last year we decided to do it again this year. And we have already decided we'd like to do it for a third year in a row in 2023. The house is midcentury modern with natural light and striking views of the landscape throughout. The land is beautiful and the asters were really stunning this year. Nearby kayaking on the most clear lake I have ever seen. Suits our set of friends perfectly. Hosts are pleasant and super easy to communicate with.

Relaxing vacation in the woods

We spend 9 glorious days at this property and did not want to leave. We enjoyed everything the house and surrounding area had to offer. House was comfortable and felt like home. We noted and appreciateD unique decor. Our days were filled with fishing, hiking the nearby trails and swimming in the local lake or property pool. Despite COVID, hot weather and few rains we always found something to do. Lake Geneva is near by and made for a nice day trip. We will definitely consider returning in future.

Magical white wonderland

Amazing home just as described. Outdoor jacuzzi was great. Fantastic snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Fun to break trails. If you happen to be there for. Snowfall, good idea to be in all wheel drive vehicle. We had triple aaa tow us to a state road to avoid the icy hill. The hosts very flexible, let us wait for tow truck yo check out. We hope to ho back soon.

A break from quarantine

We wanted to have a little get-away and this answered that. All the privacy you could ask for. Unexpected spring cold weather kept us from exploring all of the huge property, but Mother Nature wins out. Nature lovers paradise. All day enjoyment from the abundance of bird life and the sound of the wonderful waterfall fountain on the patio. Throw in some campfires and we were very content. A special note: the decor reflects an artist's eye with charming personal touches everywhere!!
