"Everything about the accommodation was excellent, especially the staff! Despite the communication struggles, they were very helpful and provided great service during my stay. The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time. "I want to start this review off by saying, I WILL be back. My stay at this hotel was almost dreamlike. It's something that I don't want to forget. The room was prepared perfectly, and the service was a 10/10. The breakfasts dinners that were prepared were unique and delicious all around. The staff was kind. I think this hotel and the surrounding town were the perfect getaway from the fast city life. It really gave me time to relax"

"Although the hotel building and its facilities are a little bit old, the room is very clean and hotel staff are very friendly. It takes about 15 minutes’ walk from New Shirakawa (Shin Shirakawa) Train Station, or you can catch a taxi at about 1000 Yen. There are several restaurants located within five minutes’ walking distance, however, it is relatively far from downtown Shirakawa and Komine Castle."

"Property itself has has an amazing garden with access to river and some great mossed areas. Also situated on the gateway to the heritage areas. Huge room with intriguing heating, steam-punk stuff. Views from room of mountain ranges absolutely intriguing. Furniture bit worn but otherwise clean. Hotel building fascinating to explore. Staff very helpful and courteous."
