"This was the most relaxing 2 days at the most serene spa in Izu. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The cuisine was outstanding, the chef is a genius, with the highest quality produce and fish. Do not skip breakfast and dinner. Spectacular ocean views from our room and onsen. As advertised. Take a walk to the local bakery for cakes and cookies baked onsite. Splended spa, highly recommend, we will definitely go back. "

"We stayed in a twin room and the room is really spacious. Also love the public bath, though small, it’s clean and serves its purpose. Breakfast is simple and not a lot of choices. But the food is fresh. They might wish to have a larger flask for the coffee though, as it seems to run out frequently. Parking is very convenient, right in front of the hotel. Hotel is also conveniently located along the main road, with a 7-11 next door. Will definitely stay again if I visit Shimada in future. "

"The lovely little Spa was in a quiet sleepy area with a few shops on the main road. The room was lovely and well equipped with all the usual amenities that you need and the outside garden was lovely and relaxing to view. The highlight of the stay was always mealtime and the service and attention of the staff was second to none they were all attentive and very helpful explaining the dishes and best way to eat some of the courses but Katatako was really great and deserves a special shout out for his service and thoughtful manner which was appreciated by us both. "
