What a great location to have a break and relax, the accommodation was really great with everything you could need. We saw dear and ponies when coming in and out of the lane, plus spotted a red dear just outside of the yard one evening. We will be booking again.

Our stay at Linhay was wonderful! The location is remote enough that it is only a 30 minute walk along the Barle into Withypool which I’m itself is lovely. The cottage is very cozy and ‘homely’, we felt very welcomed by Claire and Isla with an information pack and tasty biscuits! If you are looking for a peaceful break, surrounded by wildlife this is the place to stay!

We had a lovely time the neighbouring farmer wasvery kind and helpful. The lady that owned the cottage was also very kind and let us in a day early. We visited Tarr steps and withypool which was just a couple fields away from the cottage. Ideal place for walking the dogs and everywhere seemed to be dog friendly .

Relaxing

This accommodation is rural and very peaceful and relaxing. We are familiar with Exmoor and there are clearly some lovely local walks. Swallows nest in the stables and a wagtail can be seen locally. It clearly had a nest nearby. The accommodation is adequately equipped and everything worked well. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the end of October and the central heating was much appreciated as wintery temperatures arrived overnight while we were there. Another great stay at Linhay Cottage, Cottage always clean and tidy. Also i was pleasantly surprised of the improvements to the main drive, all potholes filled with Tarmac and where the water use to run across the Drive has been greatly improved. The Cottage has also had new double glazing installed etc. It is nice to see that Clare the owner has genuine interest in the the people who stays at the Cottage have a problem free holiday. Overall another great holiday, also again problem free booking Linhay through the Best of Exmoor and Booking Brain. Will be back again Thanks Again

Wonderful secluded cottage

Lovely, warm, cosy cottage. Secluded. Excellent views across Exmoor and sightings of red deer everyday. We wanted for nothing. Everything was perfect

Perfect Isolation

We are so pleased that we found the Linhay in the listings. The setting was lovely and peaceful and supremely relaxing. Absolutely everything you could need you will find waiting for you in the property. The pictures really don't do the cottage justice. It is a really beautiful find.
