'Sticks in the Sand properties' are located in the Heart of Old Destin. This Sunchase townhome unit is on the most highly-desired beaches of Destin, and you can't get a better seat. You will be within walking distance to some of Destin's favorite Restaurants. 1 block from Whale's Tale. There's no pool here, but the ocean is all yours. Just step off your deck onto your own private beach.

A 5 min drive of outlet malls, many restaurants, and other retail shopping. Want to go to the Destin Harbor, then give yourself ten minutes driving time, and you're there.

Close to everything, comes with everything.: This is a 'NO SMOKING' ,'non pet' unit which can sleep up to 6 Adults. The top floor has the Master bedroom with a King Size Bed, remodeled bathroom. It also has the guest bedroom that comes with a queen and a bunk beds. Both bedrooms have their own custom tiled bathrooms. There are flat panel TV's, The second floor has a fully stocked Kitchen equipped with appliances, dishes, silverware, and cookware. A half bath and a full living room with large TV, foldout sofa's, providing 3 individual sleeping spaces. There are Linens, Towels, and a private Washer / Dryer on the first floor for your convenience.

Beach Time: Their are private balconies on every level! Equipped with chairs for a relaxing evening in the breeze. The scenery is complete with both a breathtaking view of the Gulf and the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach. Play in the beach all day and rinse off in the outdoor shower.

The third floor master bedroom is located next to the ocean so you can hear the waves even with the doors closed.

There is one parking space that holds 2 STANDARD cars back to front. it is directly in front of the unit.

Lastly, no more looking for the perfect beach spot since the unit is deeded all the beach to to the water!

Right on the beach

We had a very nice stay. Our family loved being just steps from the sand. Even though it was spring break it was not crowded felt very private. The townhome was a bit dated but had what we needed and the owner was easy to get in touch with. We were able to walk to several olaces for breakfast and dinner which was nice.

Can't beat the location!

Our stay at Sticks in the Sand was fantastic! Check-in was seamless, and the owner was incredibly responsive throughout our stay. When we encountered an issue with the stairwell light, it was promptly replaced, which we really appreciated. The best part was being directly on the beach—it made for a truly relaxing getaway. The condo's layout was perfect for two couples, offering plenty of space and comfort. Plus, the value for the price was great, making it an even better experience. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

This is a great location. We had a great time here. The kitchen looks to have been renovated recently. The outside on the beach side is a little aged but but a great place to sit and enjoy the evening air and sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It is a AWESOME location and with it being a private beach it is not crowded. I recommend this place.

Fantastic location! Could use a little updating but being about 20 yards from the water's edge really made up for that. Owner was very responsive to the questions and requests we had during our stay. Parking is TIGHT; think about bringing a smaller vehicle if at all possible.

Very happy!

Just as described - on the beach with a beautiful view! Comfy and roomy. We were on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the townhouse, you would need to keep that in mind if someone in the party has trouble with navigating due to the steps. Parking was right at the door. We brought our own chairs and it was so nice to have a deck to leave them on each day. Being a private beach was wonderful too! The only other people we saw were those walking the beach and our next door neighbors.....loved the small crowd. Early morning and late evening was almost like you had a beach of your own!

Loved the beachfront location! Close to good food and bars. Property manager was communicative and easy to work with. Condo could’ve been a bit cleaner - we did find some hair in the bathrooms, countertops had sand on them and we saw a few dead roaches on the floor. It would be nice if TVs were smart TVs so we could watch streaming video. Great stay otherwise!

Property is located right on the beach!!! There are stairs so if you physically limitation this would be an issue. Property was clean could use some updated. The location makes up for any issues!! Highly recommend beach chairs and umbrella rental from La Dolce Vida.

Great beach getaway in Destin

I traveled to Destin with my mother and my 2 teenage boys for an end-of-summer trip. This townhome was perfect for us. It had plenty of room for everyone to sleep and the beds were comfortable, especially in the master which had a great big comfy bed. There's a gas grill on the patio for cooking out and a closet that contains some beach/water items to use while there. There's also an outside shower on the downstairs patio with hot water- a big plus. We put all of these to great use during our stay. The unit is multi-level which gives everyone space to spread out and we never felt crowded. While this is a big plus for a family, it was a little challenging for my aging mother with the stairs. There are dark and narrow stairs to enter the unit, stairs up to the bedrooms, as well as narrow stairs to get down to the beach (this is a second floor unit). The stairs had to be navigated slowly and carefully. The location of the unit was fantastic with an amazing view of the beach and water. Several mornings we were able to watch dolphins from our patio. It's right across the street from a convenience store which made it easy to cross and get ice and other small items. Communication with the owner/manager was great. They checked in with us when we arrived and even brought in a portable AC unit before we got there to make sure it was cool inside. This is an older unit and is showing some signs of wear both inside and outside, but everything was clean and some things have been updated. There were plenty of cups, utensils, pots/pans, etc. in the kitchen and a hair dryer in the bathroom, as well as one packet of laundry detergent to do your laundry before returning home. There are also two coffee makers- one regular and one Keurig. However, there are no supplies to make coffee, so you need to bring your own. There are also no condiments like salt/pepper. This is the one thing that we didn't think about ahead of time, and had to go back out to get these items. While everything about the property was great, the only thing that we didn't like was parking. It was very tight and some other occupants brought big vehicles that block your view of the road while trying to pull out. Overall, our stay was fantastic and we really liked this property and would definitely stay here again.

The place was great and right outside the door are a sugar-white sand beach and a crystal clear ocean. What more could you want. I loved having the convenience store right across the street too. Need more ice? It's steps away. We'll be back for more!

Just Right

This townhouse was exactly what we were looking for. We don't like to be in the high rises or in the heart of Destin. Its too busy and congested. We've also stayed further East but that's too far away from restaurants and attractions. Sticks in The Sand is located just right. It's out of the circus with a private beach but close enough if you want to hit a restaurant or take a sunset cruise. The beds were comfy, water was hot, AC was cold and the kitchen was very well stocked and had nice appliances.( no icemaker so bring ice. I hear they are hard to keep running in beach rentals). Our host covered pretty much any and all details is the house manual ,which was supplied to us before we arrived. I had a question and he answered very quickly. There was a street long internet/cable outage for a few hours. Before we could complain our host acknowledged the issue with a message telling us what was going on and what the plan was to fix it. The furnishings were nice. We had everything we needed. Check in and out was easy. Assigned parking is handy ( right in front of the door then one flight of stairs up. )Know that if you have big vehicles,2 cars are going to be a tough fit, but 2 medium to small will work if your mindful. The beach is steps from the back door (down 26 steps...yes I counted...its a thing)The water was clear and turqoise during our visit, Looked like a swimming pool. Lots less people on the private beach and great sunsets. It's an easy walk to The Whales Tail for a drink. I saw someone complaining about rust. The inside is very nice. Outback looks like all beach places look. If its metal or wood the salt and sun cook it quicker than anyone could keep up. Everything on the balconies and stairs was clean, sturdy and safe with good plastic furniture.. If you want no beach, sun, salt corrosion, you need a much much more expensive place or a different kind of vacation. Someone else complained about the bright yellow color. We liked it. It's beachy and happy and made it easy to know which one was ours ( yellow building...third blue shutter...in case you're wondering.)
