Great stop mid-road trip

Our Boxhouse was a great accommodation in an otherwise odd city. The space was so much more than we would find in a hotel. And it seemed nearly brand new. We only stayed one night as we were making our way across Texas. But would definitely choose them again if in this part of the state.

High-quality

The place was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the privacy of single dwelling. Walk right in, no stairs or parking issues. Staff stayed in contact via text message. Which was most pleasant.

Perfect

We are from ETX my husband works in Pyote, we have been looking for somewhere besides a hotel to stay when I visit him. This was our first experience with Boxhouses and I can 100% say we will be back. The house was perfect and equipped with everything we needed. I loved that there was a full kitchen! We were able to cook dinner each night with ease. Communication with the property manager was excellent! Any and all questions I had were answered almost immediately, they even went out of the way to help me add an extra night that I hadn’t originally booked and made that process super easy. The only suggestion for improvement I have would be a little more time and attention to detail in the cleaning process, but even as the clean freak that I am I never felt like it was too much. There was a little bit of dog hair left behind, but as a pet owner I know that stuff seems to find all the best hiding spots, and some other very minor things, but again nothing that made you feel nasty or dirty, I actually loved how open and bright and clean it felt. I also loved that boxhouses are pet friendly! I have a small dog that goes everywhere with me but most hotels in the area are not pet friendly so I normally have to board him, I did not bring him with me this time but I look forward to it next time. The location was lovely as well, just minutes from food and fuel, and far enough from the interstate to not hear the traffic! Maybe we’ll see you next time we’re there!

Thanksgiving trip

We had a good stay. The only issue was the water did not get much past luke warm. Normally is ok in east TX because its usually hot but the highs were only in the 50s.
