“Very beautiful property, all 5 of us enjoyed our stay very much. There was only one down thing, and that was the lack of cellphone service. Strangely enough, my cellphone was the only one of 5 that had the internet (Verizon service), so everyone used my phone to access the internet and make calls. But other than that, our stay was 5-star across the board.”

“Cabin was cozy, especially with a fire going.We had a great view of the stars and a meteor shower at night. Local recommendations for sights, food, gas, firewood, etc were spot on. Some of the cutlery/ utensils weren't completely clean (maybe from the previous guest) but we clean before using regardless. ”

“Great place to stay! Nice and private yet close to any needed amenities in Harpers or Lansing. The hot tub was great to have during our stay, and the layout with bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and downstairs made it great for our teens to have their own space when they wanted. ”

“Loved our stay at the farmhouse! We had more than enough dishes and cookware for our stay. The beds were so comfortable. We were all fast asleep as soon as we hit the pillows. It was nice to be back in a farmhouse and you can see they took care to show the history and labor of love the home was. There were little things here and there that reminded me of my grandparents farmhouse and it was nice to reminisce.”

“Everything was superior. The bathroom was bigger than I'd expected and the entire cabin has a rustic feel but includes all the amenities. And it is perfectly located to explore McGregor or the natural resources nearby. We would definitely recommend Sadie's cabin.”

“Refrigerator in kitchen would not stay cold, spoiled food and milk soured over night. Lady bugs overwmed the inside of the house. Ceiling fan in living room has a short and light blinks all the time. Ceiling fan in pool table room would not come on. Most vacuums did not work or had broken plugs. Algae build up on rug by pool and hot tub was very slippery. Both coffee pots would not stay hot. General maintenance outside could definitely be improved kind of dirty and unappealing. “The apartment is spacious, very clean, and comfortable. It features beautiful views of Elkader. The location is in easy walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and riverfront trail. I hope to stay again. ”
