“This is our second year staying at the cabin during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was just as great a stay as last year. We enjoy how open but cozy it is, the charm of the knotty pine and being close to our family. There is everything you need including for cooking. The gas stove was plenty warm for us, but there are other heaters in the bedroom and bathroom if you need it super toasty. Heidi is a great host making sure we had everything and always available if any questions. It snowed while we……

“Beautiful little cabin in a lovely secluded location. Clean, comfortable, extremely quiet. The only issue we found is - the hot water heater is horribly undersized. Any more than one 10-min shower and you’ll be taking a COLD shower! Lovely retreat for a couple, but a shower together? Out of the question! My wife and I took AM/PM shifts on the 2nd day after it took my breath away on day 1.”

“Although the cabin was not cleaned before we arrived, the Vacasa cleaning crew came right over after we called. They said it was a scheduling problem that caused them to not have the cabin cleaned before we got there. I would have expected a proactive call to let us know about the problem and for them to have corrected the schedule before we got there and called them about it. Vacasa is also refunding us our cleaning fee.”

“Everything was great except the beds and linens. Pillows should be replaced-stained. Mattresses were hard as a rock, very uncomfortable and bed frame squeaked.Linens should be updated, very old. The family did a lot of outdoor activities, it would have been wonderful to go to bed and get needed rest but unlikely with the mattresses and flat stained pillows. Betty McBrien”

“They aren’t kidding when they say it’s wicked cute, because it is! I had booked this place on accident thinking I had chosen a different property (silly mistake) and it ended up being quite the happy accident! It’s right along a river, and super quiet. The owners are super friendly and accommodating and the cabin is just perfect. We are absolutely looking to come back during the summer months!”

“It was a fantastic place for my parents and I while we were visiting family! Gave us a very comfortable place to have down time and our own space. Will definitely stay again next time we venture the long road trip to ME to visit family”

“This Caribou Island cabin was perfect for an end of summer getaway for my kids (13 and 11) and me. The highlight for us was the location--nestled in the trees right on the lake, but completely private. I can't say enough about how beautiful the property is. The bedrock protrudes through a thin cover of soil and is covered with a variety of lichen and moss that is absolutely gorgeous. Wintergreen covers much of the property too, which we used to make delicious tea to warm us after fishing in the……

“The cabin is ultra clean, organized and very guest friendly with all the amenities. Beds were very comfortable, nice fireplace and don’t get me started about the view!!!! It’s amazing!!!!!!! Definitely a summer go to destination, without a doubt. .”

“We stayed two nights to access the local hunting area. The cabin is very cute and well decorated in rustic way. The linens and towels are nice, travel size soap, shampoo and conditioner was a nice touch. Well stocked kitchen. The dock was removed during our stay so we loss that use. A bit bummed we couldn’t use the kayaks or canoes there as they are noted to be owners use only. The listing stated use a kayak, wish I knew I would need to bring mine.
