Lovely and quiet

It was such a beautiful spot, and the hosts were amazing! There are a few local attractions, and the b&b is close to all of them. The owners even loaned us a pair of chairs to go to Montgomery's music night at the town square! It was a wonderful getaway that my wife and i will certainly be returning to.

My two sons and I stayed here on a recent visit to Jay Peak. Our room had a queen in one room and two twins in the other room. The room had a great living room and everything was just perfect. We were greeted at the door upon arrival and shown around the property and right up to the room. We then walked up the street to grab a dinner at the local pub. Breakfast was great. We felt this was a great fit for our trip and will be back.

Highly recommend

I stayed with my 2 teenage children in The Retreat and the accommodations were just perfect for us. We were right above one of the hot tubs and next to the spa. Even though the hot tub was not just for us, it sure felt like it. Breakfast was really good. The kids enjoyed the choices of waffles and French toast. I am more of a protein fan so I just hat some fruit and yogurt but they had a nice selection of teas and juices. There were many complimentary items (which my kids liked the best), and also a great selection of beer to purchase. Lynne was very nice and her dog was the cutest. We will definitely be back next ski season!

This hotel is unique and amazing. We stayed there with our two kids and l do not usually leave reviews about hotels but l had to do so with this one. This hotel was a big reason of what made our trip enjoyable and very special. We stayed there for two nights to be close to Jay peak resort, it is very close to the hotel 6 or 7 miles away. The hotel is a beauty in itself with its antique ambience and the beautiful and unique decor. The rooms are very clean and the staff very nice and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, it was like real good home made breakfast. In the room, they have tvs and a whole bunch of board games and puzzles and even more at the reception area. Two blocks away from our room we enjoyed a beautiful river and they have two clean outdoor hot tubs which we tried and loved. The room and the lobby had many complimentary drinks and snacks, all very good for adults and kids. They really cared to make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. I definitely recommend this hotel and if we ever were to visit Vermont again, l would not go anywhere else.

Great Northern VT Getaway!

My kids and I enjoyed a magical 3 days in the Northeast Kingdom of VT. Darren and Lynn were amazing hosts, the Inn has lots of great amenities and is very charming! Highly recommended!

Dog-friendly B&B

My wife and I had a lovely and relaxing time and we were very pleased to have our dog with us. They provided dog bowls, a dog bed, biscuits. The Trout River behind the Inn is lovely. My wife and I were both very impressed by the owner going out of his way to provide me with vegetarian sausage in the morning.

Relaxing quick trip before the wedding

It was a couple of day trip to gather our wedding license before the wedding. Beautiful, peaceful quaint town. Lynne and Darren were amazing hosts, helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was wonderful; blackberry stuffed French toast with bacon. The massages in the back were a nice way to end the evening.

The Phineas Swann Inn Should Not Be Missed

The Phineas Swann Inn was amazing. Property is in excellent condition and our bedroom was super comfortable and luxuriously appointed. Very comfortable bed. Shower was wonderful and the gas fireplace was the perfect touch on a cool fall evening. Gina was our host and added a lot to our stay. She was right there if we needed something and she had already attended to every detail to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was superb. This inn is what a New England inn should be.

We had an above and beyond experience here. The bed was very comfortable, clean, and beautiful, it's like sleeping in a bedroom from a magazine cover. The hot tub was very relaxing, after a day of hiking and driving around to see the beautiful covered bridges. Breakfast was very delicious and fresh. And the staff?! Darren and Lynn are GREAT hosts!!! Highly recommended!!!
