On the Sound 6BR 4.5BA home! Great for large families, 2 living spaces. Hot tub!

Just to mention a couple titles from the review page, "Totally awesome," "beautiful home for a large family," "Perfect retreat," "Beautiful beach home in a Fun location." I think you will find our beach home to be your home away from home and that's our goal! In fact one renter called it "home away from home!"
This is a Large, Beautiful, 6 bedroom, and 5 bathrooms on the sound. The 4th floor sleeps 4 and has a large sitting room with a HUGE TV--the kids will never leave! The 3rd floor has 3 bedrooms including the king master with high ceilings and amazing views. The second floor has one bedroom and the rest is living space. The family room is open to the kitchen and a large eating area with great sound views and a deck right off this space. The house will easily handle 12 people. We recently added a 4/5 person hot tub. The family room has a fireplace for colder weather. One guest commented "the house was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were spacious and well lit. It easily accommodated my family of 10+."
This Sound View house looks straight at Morehead City. According to one guest, "we had everything we needed for making meals." Wake up in the Master bedroom and look right out into the sound--great way to start your day. You won't want to leave.. Walking to Beach, Shopping, restaurants & Bars. Our community is called The Cottages at Bay Ridge and located between Atlantic Stations Shopping Center and the Atlantic Beach Post Office, our coastal community offers all the amenities and privacy that waterfront living deserves! According to a guest, "great house in a great neighborhood." We are a sound front community with great access to fishing, crabbing, kayaking and bird watching. We have a beautiful gradual entry pool. This is a wonderful amenity with elevated viewing area and plenty of shade for when it gets too hot in the sun. There is a half mile elevated wooden boardwalk which leads to the covered gazebo on our private island in the sound. This is great for picnics and fishing and watching the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Many guests commented that the host was easily accessible, accommodating and outstanding! I think anyone would agree when renting you want quick answers and we will give you that! And one final comment from a renter--"beyond all expectations!"

We were incredibly pleased with our stay. The home felt like a home rather than a house. Everything was very nice-fluffy towels, beds with high end sheets, comforters, etc and kitchen was very well equipped (including a full large box of trash bags, plenty of dishwasher tabs, spices, syrup and pancake mix!). I love frothing my creamer but forgot mine and was so happy to see there was one provided! It was little touches like that which made this stay an excellent one. Sarah was incredibly responsive to any inquiry or need we had. The location is absolutely perfect-walking distance to the nearby shopping center and the park. We would definitely stay here again. The only improvements I would recommend are a note regarding the microwave (door doesn’t register shut without shutting it with force) and a notebook for recommendations on restaurants, activities, etc. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Sarah was very responsive when we had issues. Location was very convenient to grocery store and other shops/restaurants. Hot tub wasn't working upon arrival. Worked through it but took a day and a half to get to temperature. Microwave wasn't working properly and worked intermittently on only one setting with suggestions from host. Smoke detector in Owner’s suite began beeping one night, had to replace battery on high wall in order to sleep. Once we got through all the hiccups, the remainder of our stay was very enjoyable. Beds were quite comfortable. House is showing a little age with peeling finish on cabinets and flooring but it is beautiful and well laid out. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is a highly recommended home that is very close to everything in Atlantic Beach. It is walking distance to the grocery, ice cream/candy shop, many boutiques, etc. The home is very comfortable and can easily accommodate large families.

Luxurious home for a week!

Of all the vacation rentals we’ve done, and it’s a lot, this is by far the most beautifully decorated home we’ve stayed in. The interiors were thoughtfully curated and the art and decor stunning. Every kitchen item we could think of was provided and in mint condition. The linens were high end and surpass hotel quality. We highly recommend this home for older children and adults as it is located on four stories but does provide a convenient and luxurious elevator. Our children loved the provided puzzles and games. The best part of this home is the stunning view and access to a long boardwalk with a relaxing picnic area. We loved watching the sunrise and sunset and got some beautiful family photos. Sarah is responsive and available to make your stay comfortable and provide insight on the area. We will be back and you should go!

Lots of space!

We loved that the home was very spacious. The view was beautiful from the kitchen window. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The elevator was helpful for carrying in groceries and they have a cart to reduce the trips which was great! We enjoyed using the grill and playing games in the back fenced yard area. The neighborhood is very quiet and the homes are beautiful in the area. Our only complaints are in regards to cleanliness which is partially our mistake as we didn't realize the home allows dogs to stay. We had to sweep the furniture in the living room, upstairs living room and master bedroom on arrival due to lots of dog hair. The hot tub was not very clean with the water feeling slimy and the jets aren't very strong. We added water because it was low on arrival which seemed to help it filter better though not as clean as we prefer. The owners were courteous about calling ahead to visit the home to retrieve and then return some personal items and maintenance tasks. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Large, family friendly house!

We rented this house for my family to stay for my wedding weekend and it was absolutely perfect! I have 4 elderly grandparents, so the elevator was CRUCIAL. The neighborhood is close to everything in Atlantic Beach and easily accessible to Morehead City. We used the large bedroom to get ready for my wedding and it was a spectacular view. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We had an amazing stay at this property during the last week of March 2025. It was the perfect fit for our family, accommodating three generations ranging from 19 to 83. With eight of us in total, there was more than enough space to relax and even enjoy some time apart when needed.We spent countless hours on both the front and back decks, soaking up the beautiful weather. The neighborhood is peaceful and conveniently located, making it easy to access everything we needed.The house itself was fully equipped with all the essentials and more. The well-stocked selection of cooking spices and utensils delighted the cooks in our family, allowing us to whip up delicious meals together. Plus, the elevator was a fantastic feature, ensuring that everyone could move around the home comfortably.We highly recommend this property and would love the opportunity to stay here again in the future!

We had a group of 9 in town for a family wedding and this place could not have been more perfect. The location was great; the wedding and reception were within two miles. Aside from the location being great, the house itself was wonderful! Everything was very clean, comfortable, well stocked, nice view, and the communication with Sarah was timely and very accommodating. I would definitely pick this place again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. You will not be disappointed!

Atlantic Beach Getaway

Great place - very true to the listing and to the many outstanding reviews. House is beautiful and had absolutely everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. Short drive to the beach and the neighborhood pool is a just a short walk away. The community is conveniently located near Morehead City and Beaufort where we found shopping, local breweries and several great dining options. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with questions about the house and the area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Family Fun!

Our stay at this property was remarkable! The house was beautiful and spacious, impeccably decorated, extremely clean, well-equipped and offered beautiful views of the sound! We had plenty of room for the 11 of us to be together, and space to spread out! There were amenities like an elevator that made traveling between the 4 floors quick and easy, a hot tub, lots of outdoor recreational equipment for people to use, a fenced in backyard, grill, large deck and outdoor dining table. The community pool was large and well-maintained. The neighborhood was quiet; people we saw were friendly and welcoming. The owners were readily accessible and helpful if you had any questions or concerns. We highly recommend anyone wanting to visit the Atlantic Beach area, stay at this truly wonderful home!
