Secluded Lofty Escape

  • Light and airy studio apartment with full kitchen. Spectacular views of Douglas Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains. Extremely private area detached from the main house on the property, and ample area to park your boat. Literally 3 minutes from the public Shady Grove Boat Launch. Six minutes from Interstate I-40 and about 30 minutes from the Dollywood and Pigeon Forge areas. You can get to your destinations quickly and then come back to peace and quiet at night.

We have now stayed here twice. It is an awesome property. The owners are so kind and helpful in every way. It is convenient to Douglas Lake and our bass boat. It is also about 15 min from Pigeon Forge. The view is also beautiful from the windows. We will be back.

Max and Wendy are great hosts, they're right there if you have any questions or need help with anything. This place has everything we could want plus a beautiful view of the lake with mountains in the background. There's also a new patio to sit and drink your morning coffee and watch birds. The king sized bed is comfy, and the open area is very nicely decorated and clean. We have relatives nearby so I'm sure we're going to be back. You won't go wrong with this place.

Gorgeous little secluded apartment! It was the perfect place to stay while in Tennessee to visit friends. Super clean, beautifully furnished, with explicit attention to detail. We will definitely be booking the Lofty Escape again!

Lofty Escape was wonderful! So clean and everything you need. We were so impressed that it was even decorated for Christmas. The view is spectacular. The furniture is very nice, so is bed and kitchen is stocked with what you would need and snacks. Wendy and Max were wonderful hosts. Be careful not to drive by listing when you first arrive. Hope to stay again when we travel through area.

Cozy loft with beautiful view & great location

The lofty escape was cozy, clean & comfortable. The location is great, right by the lake for fishing & close to everything. The bed is very comfortable , the shower is amazing & the hosts provide nice extra touches. We loved our stay here & would recommend the loft to friends & family.

Country solitude

Beautiful view of the lake and the Smokey Mountains. A very clean and modern loft that is roomy for two and nicley decorated. The hosts are friendly and very available for any questions or needs. I will definitely stay here again when I visit the area.

Cozy & Welcoming

It was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway to visit with cousins from all over the US. Max & Wendy were kind and welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I plan to stay again and will recommend to everyone I know!

Special Retreat

This was the second time we have stayed here in the last couple of months. So very cozy, clean and quiet. It’s like a home away from home. They are wonderful host, always there to help if you need them. Super place and Super host!!!

Douglas Lake

It was an amazing property with great owners that was very friendly. It was close to the lake and quick and easy to put our boat in. It was also close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We had a great time and hope to stay again. Thanks again to Max and Wendy! God Bless you!

Peaceful loft

This is a secluded garage loft with a great view of Douglas Lake. Located just outside of Dandridge and minutes from I-40. The loft is extremely clean and well appointed. The hosts are very friendly and easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend this beautiful loft.
