Freshly renovated and updated, this coastal inspired, mid-century modern daylight basement has been carefully curated to provide you withs a comfortable stay. It is located in a quiet neighborhood just 4 minutes from the heart of downtown and 8 minutes to the University of Idaho campus.
BEDROOMS
+1 Large bedroom with two queen beds and ample closet space
+1 Small bedroom with one queen bed and a small closet. Please note that this bedroom is non-egress.
+All of our beds have down comforters, down pillows and 100% cotton sheets.
BATHROOM
+1 newly renovated bathroom with shower
KITCHENETTE
The kitchenette includes all of the basic appliances you will need for simple meals:
+ Large size mini fridge with small freezer
+ Toaster oven
+ 2 burner hot plate
+ Electric tea kettle
+ 3 coffee brewing options: French press, pour over, and Aeropress
+ Coffee grinder
+ Pots, pans, and basic cooking supplies are provided.
LIVING ROOM & DINING ROOM
+Comfortable couch and chairs
+Smart TV including apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime
+Dining table with extra chairs available for larger groups.
OTHER ITEMS TO NOTE:
+This is a daylight basement unit and access is down gently sloped exterior stairs.
+The second bedroom with one queen bed is non-egress.
+ The main floor of the house is occupied by a family and you will likely hear the upstairs footsteps and activity while in the unit. If you like to sleep in late in a perfectly quiet environment, then this may not be the best choice for your stay!

Amazing!
The Mod Pod was an amazing little home. From the sign welcoming us to the house to the fridge stocked with basics, these people packed in the little details. It was so nice to have my own bed to sleep in at night, and the decor throughout the house was beautiful. My sister described the style perfectly, saying it was Scandinavian. Anyway, this basement was a great rental, and I would definitely recommend. (The person who wrote this review is 14 if that helps with perspective.)

Would stay here again
This was my first experience using VRBO. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Mod Pod. Kelly was accommodating when we needed to stay an additional night. My kids loved the extra touches that we definitely wouldn't have received at a hotel
...like having fresh eggs and beef jerky and getting a handwriting welcome note from her daughter. Kelly responded quickly to all of my text messages and was the perfect hostess. Looking forward to staying again when we visit our son.

College move in stay
We were very pleased with our stay at Kelly’s home. It was ver warm and inviting. It was great location and easy to get to campus in Washington state. We moved our daughter into school and we could not have asked for a better location. It was very peaceful during an emotional time!!

Cute and clean but it’s a loud basement !
This place was very cute to the eye but the walls are paper thin. It is more a shared basement rather than an apartment. I assume the owners live upstairs. They have two children who will be up at 6:30 in the morning stomping and running as loud as they can throughout the whole house, dragging something very heavy from one side of the house to the other. Be ready to bring your own entertainment because The only TV there does not work, could not figure out how to even connect to Wi-Fi. Even my techie husband couldn’t figure it out. Overall ok stay, if you don’t mind paper thin walls and kids waking you up with stomping and crying at 6:30.

Its very clean
House was very clean! I did not realize that you have to go around the back and down concrete steps to get to the door. It is in a daylight basement area. It was a bit further than I would have liked to the University of Idaho, but that is no ones fault but mine. The owners live above and have small children that you hear their little running around. If I had a complaint, that would be it.
