「Interesting history but really in the middle of nowhere and loud traffic nearby. Basic rooms and wifi was not working that day. No facilities. Breakfast ok. Staff helpful 」

「This property is beautiful. The staff are outstanding. Dominico and Luna were wonderful at the front desk. They helped with restaurant reservations and suggestions for day trips.」

「The service was great. We parked at the parking lot recommended by the hotel, and there was a free shuttle that took us to the hotel. We stayed in a separate room, which had a bit of a damp smell. The room was about a 5-minute walk from the reception and the breakfast/spa area — it took a few time to remember the route. But getting lost in Matera is also a kind of romance.」

「Where do I start. A gorgeous place with the most wonderful rooms, pool, bar and grounds. Whilst it’s not designed specifically for children our 2 and 5 yr old also loved it - a little farm, old tractors, pool and cabanas, a playground and a family picnic in the olive groves kept them more than happy. 「Had a lovely stay here - sadly the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get the use the pool or loungers but we really enjoyed the impressive breakfast and beautiful surroundings. It’s a short drive to neighbouring towns and the peace was a nice contrast in the evenings. You have the option of eating at the Masseria which also makes things easier if you do not have a car.」
