「This "hotel" is actually a small ancient village that's been restored as a resort. It's extraordinary, though keep in mind that you'll walk outside to go to the restaurants, the lobby, etc. We absolutely loved this. Our suite had a massive patio and amazing sunset views, though our west-facing view was just trees and not the quintessential Tuscan farmland and rolling-hills view; for that you will want a suite in Alto-Borgo, the slightly uphill part of the resort with perfect southeast-facing...

「Great hotel 」

「This is the first night we stayed in Toscana. The hotel is a real castle located on the top of the hill. The beautiful landscape of agricultural view seen from the hotel was panoramic and breathtaking. The family suite was cozy, containing one living room and two bedrooms. The thermal swimming pool was fantastic and spa center was amazing. Breakfast was flourish. The dinner was also good but overpriced actually. As a whole, I highly recommend staying in Catello di Velona as you visit Toscana.」

「The room is big and the city is lovely. but it's really really troublesome to park the car due to the hotel is located in ZTL zone. You have to park your car somewhere outside of the old town, and walk to the hotel to figure out how to park, then get a green card from the reception to display it on your windshield to avoid being fined by the police when drive in to unload the luggage, then drive out of the old town to find a parking space, then walk back to the hotel (6-8 mins walk). 「Ótimo hotel na região da Toscana. Extremamente limpo e bem cuidado, equipe gentil. Recomendo para uma estadia curta para conhecer a região. Meus únicos pontos de crítica são: dificuldade em desembarcar as bagagens (você tem que trancar a rua), café da manhã em outro lugar (não é tão longe, mas ter que fazer uma caminhada logo após acordar pra tomar café não é algo muito confortável). 「Good hotel. If you drive to there based on Google Map, you better follow the main road instead of a muddy road recommend by Google. The hotel is near the old town (so as ZTL!) and just a 5 minutes walk. Montalcino old town get a lot of places to taste wine. Don't miss it!」
