Staff are kind and helpful towards the guests. Breakfast delicious but I should have requested white coffee because I did not like strong coffee that was provided in a coffee pot. Room and bathroom very clean.

An excellent hotel for a Munich city visit . Superb location in a quiet, safe area - brilliant for public transport links . Staff very friendly and helpful . Breakfasts were really fantastic . We will stay here again next time we come to Munich

Carmen hotel decent for visiting on a budget

The room was a bit small with no plugs in the bathroom so shaving was abit of a problem there. Overall i just stayed there in evening to sleep was out exploring everyday and the best thing was the included breakfast. You get what you pay for its not high end but it did its job if you are outside alot. And a short walk to the ubahn station with a short trip to marienplatz was also a huge thing. Overall would stay again if i go to munich again good for beeing on a budget!

I've mixed views about this hotel. Location isn't bad, tucked away so not on a main road and reasonable walking distance to the U or S Bahn. Breakfast was okay though I wouldn't get down there too late. I didn't really have any interaction with other staff. Room was quite small, even for a single. So nothing was particularly wrong but not sure I'd rush back either.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Carmen -- an older hotel, but clean & functional rooms. Also located in super convenient location, just a short walk from the train station. Loved the included breakfast -- great variety and was above expectations!

Perfect for what I needed. A small , efficient , clean room for 1 person for 1 night. Even had a work desk. good shower with nice water pressure and hot. Close walking to S Bahn train. And the free breakfast as others have mentioned was exceptional compared to other places I have stayed. Staff was super friendly.

Excellent staff. Room was extremely clean. Transportation options were very close. Close to attractions. Breakfast was very nice and the staff went above and beyond. Beds were comfortable for the two of us. We had an extra bed. Elevator for one person at a time and stairs available. In room safe worked perfectly. Room was quiet facing courtyard.

I did not expect the property to be so far from Munich itself. One thing I would mention was on the morning I was leaving early for the 6.45am train for the airport the after hrs porter made sure I had breakfast before I left. Plenty to eat for breakfast. Catered for all type. I would add once I knew the times for the trains into Munchen the distance and the price of the hotel was excellent.

Me and my dad stayed here at Carmen Friday through Sunday to go to Adele in Munich. The room was a bit small and no AC, so it was very hot. We had to sleep with the windows open. Other than that it was very quiet and no sound from traffic. Easy to walk from and to subway, bus. Close by to a grocery store. Breakfast was great, lots of variations. Everything from salmon salami cheese and bread to croissants cake and yoghurt. 4/5.

More of a Motel feel than a Hotel

This place did the job considering the city was insane for Adele. Close to transportation. The rooms leave a lot to be desired. VERY dated, and mine reeked of cigarette smoke. No AC and the portable fan was missing so my room was extremely hot. However, given the condition of the room - it was EXTREMELY clean. The included breakfast was also fantastic - it was so good it seemed out of place in a hotel like this. I’ve definitely stayed in worse, but I’ve also stayed in much better.

We had a twin room on the second floor. Overall appearance of the hotel was very dated. But the hotel itself was very clean and tidy. We stayed one night. Bed was comfortable, pillow was not the best, but that’s just opinion. Room again was dated but clean and tidy. Towels given. Hair and body wash in shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average Water for tea was not hot despite arriving for breakfast at 8am. Breakfast was ok. There was lots of variety. if I was to stay again in Munich, I would consider to stay again.
