Gorgeous beach location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had a few maintenance issues I had to address with the realty company. The lights on the walkway to the ocean didn't work, the shower by the ocean walkway didn't work, neither were fixed while we were there. An AC repair guy showed up unannounced, it would have been nice to be notified by the realty company before he arrived. The filters to the ac unit were really covered in dust, they were changed out immediately. The lights on the deck didn't work but were changed out very quickly. The ceilings had some water damage in a few areas that were discolored concerning for mold. The house fit our needs, the pool and hot tub were lovely. The kitchen was well stocked and worked well for the 15 people there. The furniture was nice and the beds were comfortable. Parking was ample and the views were amazing.

Great Family Getaway

The beach is quiet and clean, the pool is great for cooling off without getting in the sand.The decks were great for hanging out on. For a home that accommodates 22 people, there could have been more seating outside (only 2 loungers for the pool area). Overall a very comfortable place to stay. Location is perfect and there is plenty of parking.There were some items left behind that I think the rental company could have taken care of before we arrived but the house itself was wonderful.

Wonderful Vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family absolutely loved this property. The couch was a HUGE hit for the kids! Everyone loved settling down at night all together, cuddled up to watch TV. The pool was also appreciated by everyone. We loved that it was taken care of every couple of days. An added bonus to our stay was watching the loggerhead turtles hatch from their next at the end of the stairway. What a special time moment to witness.We will definitely try to rent this property again in two years when our family vacations together again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the convenient beach access and location to shops and restaurants. The house had not been thoroughly cleaned or maintained. There were dried spills on the floor when ottomans were moved to access the sofa. One coffee pot had dried burnt coffee in the carafe. A light bulb was out in the bar area downstairs. The house needs general maintenance-interior paint peeling, rusting shower bar and rings in one bathroom, many areas of old water damage on ceiling, broken locks on exterior slider door and interior bedroom door, broken slat on outdoor rocking chair which left exposed screw for example. Maintenance responded to the items that needed immediate attention. However there was cleaning we needed to attend to in order to use the house. We love the location and amenities, but would be hesitant to rent again unless we were sure the house was inspected for cleanliness and maintenance. Would not recommend to a friend without assurance or cleanliness and updated maintenance

June Family Gathering

Our vacation plans required an oceanfront house with a minimum capacity of 14 people, 6 Bedrooms, 5 baths, all linens, and a private pool.We have successfully worked with Garden City Reality several times in the past, so we reached out to them again.We reserved the house in early December with a small holding fee. Two additional rental payments later (March and May) we were set for a wonderful vacation.

Was disappointed that the refrigerator's ice maker didn't work and we had to use a portable one that was provided on the wet bar. The dishwasher was very small and old, difficult to use. We found dead worms in the bottom of the pool and had to wait a full day for someone to come, clean and treat. However the person who did come was very courteous.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Heaven Can Wait for the last 10 years. We love the location and overall layout of the house. However it has really been going down hill as far as needing a lot of small repairs. Needs a new entertainment system in the living room, as well as new furniture. The hot tub was torn up all week this time. We think there is a new owner and hopefully renovations coming next year. I hope so, we hate to move to another house but we definitely would like to see some improvements. Thanks!

Love Garden City!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great! The house does although seem to be very n need of some repairs. Some nails popping up on top deck, ice machine is still not working ( should probably be removed from the description). Sliding doors are still very hard to open ( previously mentioned in reviews of multiple years). There was some lamps with no lightbulbs but maintenance came and fixed that quickly. House is large and accommodated the the whole family nicely, although pictures created the idea that kitchen was larger. Kitchen was extremely well stocked - only thing that we were missing was a mixer, lol, but how often is that even needed on vacation. There was a good amount of sand toys and beach chairs left from previous rentals which we were pleasantly surprised about and thoroughly enjoyed having on hand to use at the beach. Overall a nice house but just needs some TLC. We noticed the property has recently been sold, so I would assume a new owner would hopefully fix some of the things that have been mentioned in all the reviews.

2023 Beach House Vacay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 5th year in row staying at Heaven Can Wait!!! We have over the house and location! This year didn’t really disappoint. Would agree though the house needs some TLC - the sliding glass door was extremely difficult to open on the main floor; didn’t even try after the first attempt on the second floor. The people who stayed the week before us completely wrecked the hot tub - it wasn’t available to use until Wednesday, which was a bummer. Although the pool people worked really hard to get it working again coming 3 days in a row and finally draining it and starting over again. Too bad people just don’t take care of things when they are renting. We were disappointed to learn that we couldn’t rent the beach house for next year since the new owner has a hold on bookings for next year. After renting 5 years straight - we wanted to come again, but I guess the new owner is exploring increasing the weekly rent for next year and doesn’t care about good repeat renters! We had a great time despite the hiccups and will be coming back next year in a new beach house!

2nd stay at Heaven Can Wait

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second year staying at Heaven Ken wait we stayed two years ago and then this year. We love this house so much. It is perfect for our family we noticed the new couches upstairs and they are lovely. We did however, notice this year the birds were not quite as comfortable I'm sure they are just getting worn down and the only other issue we had were the chairs around the pool being ripped. Someone did come and take two of the chairs and said he would be back but never came back with any more chairs. Bring a Keurig if you use pod coffee. We love this house! We would schedule to stay next year, however we will need 8 bedrooms for next summer.

Little Piece Of Heaven @ Heaven Can Wait

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A great house at the best family beach you’ll find. The home was just as advertised and just steps away from the beautiful Sandy beach. Our family of 19 had all the room we needed, and the home was large enough for everyone to have there own space. The pool, hot, tub and tiki bar area were great. Garden City Realty was very customer service minded from the time we booked until the time we checked out. Murrell’s Inlet is only a ten minute drive and has an abundance of top quality restaurants. Anything you might need or want is just minutes away. Garden City Beach is the cleanest and best family beach around, and Heaven Can Wait didn’t disappoint. It will most definitely be our go to house for future trips.

We three kids 2 and under - there were a lot of sleepless nights because of the motorcycles driving up and down the street all hours of the night. Otherwise, the house is nice. Garden City Realty responded quickly and removed.2. dishwasher wouldn't drop pod. we placed pod manually.3. main sliding doors were very hard to open. a. GCR, sent maintenance who tried to fix but couldn't b. Window World was sent and had to replace rollers... GCR aske me to wait around to let them in so i lost the entire morning with my family on the beach to do this... GCR should have had their maintenance meet with them instead of asking their paying guest.4. hot tub caused chemical burns. Pool guy was sent and he adjusted the chemicals. after this, the hot tub smelled bad. not sure if it was chemicals or something else. most didn't want to get back in.5. pool heater worked the 1st day. after that the pool was cold even though the heater claimed it was 84.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: had a lovely time. home was roomy and comfy.
