Disappointing conditions

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Garden City for years and this is the most disappointing week ever. The beach was Amazing as always but the condo was awful. The bed spreads were stained the floors were nasty. My wife spend 5 hrs cleaning the condo our first night there. The dishes, pots and pans were dirty. Then we had to deal with roaches. We called and they came and sprayed but we saw them the whole time. Had to get them to replace coffee maker and toaster because of the bugs. The rental ppl were nice and understanding but this was the worst stay I have ever had in SC. Very Disappointed!

The morning sun is easily accessed from the inviting rocking chairs located on the beach side of the building. The afternoon sun shines all the time on the spacious private deck. A great place for breakfast coffee, relaxing lunch, afternoon wine and cheese or after dinner sunset. Great vacation.

Great location at the beach with a deck that overlooks the water and provides a windscreen when necessary. Particularly enjoyed relaxing in the rocking chairs provided by the Condo HOA and located directly on the beach.

Seasider 405 stay during hurricane florence week

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice folks in office told us condo ready and we could check in at 1. Got there and cleaning ladies had just arrived to start cleaning. We had brought a cart full of luggage and groceries up and couldn't get in unit for 2 hours. Then air was not working, a/c contractor had to be called, cleaned gunk from unit and told us it wouldn't cool down until overnight and he was right. Miserably hot. We then had to leave on Tuesday morning due to mandatory evacuation so we only got to stay 3 nights. Didn't ask for refund but asked for a four night credit later on and we were told no. Would hope that based on what we are hearing from other companies in the area, that this decision will be reversed. Spoken highly to my sisters and in laws about Garden City Realty for years and they have now named this trip.............their most miserable vacation experience yet.

Parking is atrocious, while I was told I'd have 2 parking spots available, I was lucky if I had one. I had to park in public spots and wait to move car later to avoid ticket from Garden City Beach. That's not a problem anyone wants especially while on vacation. The huge HVAC units for the hi-rise next door were very very loud. I wouldn't stay at this rental again.

The unit is well laid out, extremely clean and quite.The deck with a view of the ocean is a great place to relax with a morning cup of coffee or a leisure afternoon glass of wine. We are looking forward to visiting again next year.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was great, nice lay out and well decorated. The elevator was out of service for about a day while we were there, which is no huge deal except after talking to a condo owner there she said each tenant had just paid a pretty hefty fee to get it fixed or replaced. But,the biggest issue we had was the parking. There were no places to park when we first got there, so we had to park on the side of the road. We talked to a few others staying in this building, with two of them owners of condos there, and they were having the same issue as we were. My guess is that I saw at least six cars towed away and 20 parking tickets given out. In addition, one night I got a parking place under the complex, only to wake the next morning and find that the ceiling had leaked and sheetrock had fallen on my car. The condo itself was great, however, the building is not so great. There were a total of four cars between two condos and a couple of tickets and one tow bill later, we will not be staying at this complex again.
