The condo was in great shape and had really cool furnishings with the pirates and jungle theme. It was also very clean. GCR, however, had some issues. Another couple arrived before us, going to the wrong condo. Some maintenance guy let them in since the code they had didn't work on our door. These people came in, took our parking pass, and went shopping. GCR sent us a new code since it had been reset. We got there and there was no parking pass. Since the HOA is real Nazis about this, I went to the GCR office asking for a pass. First I was told by a clerk there was nothing they could do and I would have to park on the street. After driving 500 miles, I was livid. They finally got the security people to create a new pass after some yelling on my part. There are several issues here: 1) A maintenance person should not be letting people in without ID. 2)GCR should have emergency passes available to replace lost or stolen passes. 3)GCR personnel should be better trained to deal with such a situation. We have rented through GCR for about 20 years and have never had such an issue until now. They have, in the past, always great to deal with.
