House with large garden, swimming pool, exceptional view and 300m from the town center
10/10 Excellent
"The most beautiful prooerty in a perfect location. The house was clean and spacious, and it was nice to be both out in the countryside , but also just a short walk into town."
Beautiful house with swimming pool, superb view on Mont Ventoux and old town
8/10 Good
"We received good directions to the property and found it easily. It is a very easy fifteen minute walk into the centre of Vaison. On VRBO, the property was advertised as being a “Beautiful house with swimming pool, superb view on Mont Ventoux and old town”. The house is comfortable, but not suited to the hot temperatures we experienced, which were upper 30C, and even overnight rarely dropped below 25 in the bedroom. We asked for a fan, which improved the night time comfort slightly. There is only 1 bathroom with toilet, not 2 as described on VRBO.We were thankful for the small pool, but there was sadly no waterfall, no view of Mont Ventoux, and no hammock, as described. The galley kitchen has the essentials, and an inverter microwave oven, but limited worktop space. There is plenty of room to eat inside or out on the terrace overlooking the pool and lovely garden. We did enjoy our stay, and the walks into Vaison, which is a lovely town."
4-star house - Mont Ventoux view - heated swimming pool - boules pitch
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic property with quality fittings and fixtures. Excellent electric canopy that offer shade so you can enjoy the stunning views from the garden. Very quiet location even though in a housing estate. Secure boundaries, which was essential for our dogs. Highly recommend this property. Perfect base to travel to the Med coast or the Ardèche for day trips. "
"Very nice staff and the apartment was huge and clean. And super super spartan. Really really basic. No decor, only a few pillows, no hooks to hang up anything in the washroom, kitchen had an old used sponge, some dish soap and a towel. Could definitely benefit from a few nicer amenities (even a new sponge would have been a nice start). It does have great bike storage."
Architect-designed villa in Provence at the foot of Mont-Ventoux
10/10 Excellent
"We have been in dozens of short term rentals. None has been better than this one. The online pictures of both the house and property are amazing but the reality of staying there was even better.
The house is perfectly located on a small rise and gives you beautiful views east, south and west. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The pool and the boules/petangue court are in perfect shape. There are at least 4 comfortable sitting areas outside so you can always choose between being in the sun or the shade.
The entire house is beautifully designed and well constructed. It was apparently built in the seventies. It represents the very best of architecture from that era and it’s been lovingly and carefully refreshed.
The living, dining and kitchen areas are very spacious and furnished with good looking and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is fully equipped. All the appliances are good quality and function perfectly.
The bedrooms are large and well furnished. The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen, pillows and towels were all good quality. And the bathrooms are spacious, clean, good looking and functional.
Finally. The hosts. Spectacular. Friendly and helpful. Isabel is comfortable in English. They have put together the best “ welcome to our home” manual I’ve ever seen. In three languages.
I don’t write many reviews and I seldom gush about a place. This home is a very special find. "
