Honestly the bar was low, since most other properties had plumbing issues, no 24 hour staff, and a host of other things that made this one stand out even more. "This Hotel commands the centre of Ghent and make you feel like the lord of the manor as you walk in through the ornate doors and up the gothic spiral staircases until you reach your beautifully appointed room. Spend as much time as you can with the reception team as they will direct you to all the best spots in Ghent including where to find the best hot chocolate. They made my holiday perfect."
