A Place at the Beach 9540 3G is nestled right alongside the world-famous Ocean Annie’s Beach Club, providing you with a front-row seat to the ocean's beauty. Within the A Place at the Beach resort, you'll discover a range of professionally managed vacation rental properties, expertly overseen by Booe Realty.

These splendid A Place at The Beach condos consist of 2 bedrooms and either 1.5 or 2 baths, each boasting a cozy living area, dining space, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private balcony. Standard amenities include air conditioning, heating and television. The property is just as advertised and we had a wonderful 6 night stay. We lucked out with beautiful weather and got to enjoy the wonderful view from the balcony when we weren’t on the beach.

The location and area we stayed in was very nice! We were within a 10-minute drive of a lot of major shopping areas like barefoot landing and broadway at the Beach. HOWEVER, upon arrival, the bathrooms were disgusting!! We are talking like stuff smeared all over the toilets, bugs in the shower, and sand all over the floor. Also it smelt moldy but they tried to cover it up with a ton of air fresheners. I know it’s the beach and there’s always sand and humidity but it was way worse than other places we have stayed in Myrtle. Also keep in mind that the listing states the bar next door plays music until 11 pm. This is true, and it didn’t bother us too much since they stop at 11 on the dot. Just keep in mind that on holidays they play later like until 1/2 am.Overall it wasn’t bad for the price, but it could’ve been a lot better pretty easily. You have to make your own beds, the linens don’t come on the beds. This wasn’t very fun when you arrive later in the night at like 1/2 am. You also have to stop at the realty office to pick up your keys, but if you pick them up after hours then you have to go back to the realty to sign one document. All of which could be electronic and done online very easily.And since I am being picky, the realty sends you like 10 plus emails before you ever arrive for like booking, confirmation, tickets, packing lists, etc. some may like this but I found it hard to keep track of important info since there were so many.Overall it was just okay…

Overall pleasant stay

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. The location is excellent. The music from Ocean Annie’s goes on until 11pm and we knew this in advance so it wasn’t an issue. The only problem was the front door lock-we spent WAY too much time fighting to lock the door. I saw other reviews that mentioned this and it would be such an easy fix.

Property was awesome! A couple of minor glitches. The lock on the door was way to hard to get to use.finally got the hang of it the last day, very frustrating. TV,s were hard to program , even the maintenance man had a hard time. All in all a great condo

Great beach location!

Nice condo located right onto the beach, Ocean Annies next door was so convenient for nightly entertainment. Our condo was updated and so nice inside. The only downside was they were doing repairs and around the swimming pool area and parking lot. Regardless, we had a great week with our three sons!

Great place to stay

This condo was super nice. The decor was modern and felt homey. We cooked a few times and the kitchen is great with lots of room. The balcony was great for people watching and listening to the band at Ocean Annie's without having to leave the room. My only 2 complaints would be that the door lock was so hard to get locked or unlocked maybe a keypad would have been way easier and the beds are hard as rocks. I could have slept alot longer had it been more comfortable. Hopefully the owner can upgrade these . We did stay on the 3rd floor and there is NO elevator here so you may want to pack light otherwise you will get a workout from all the stairs. In my opinion it was a nice place for a vacation and I would stay again

Pros and Cons

Pros: Having Ocean Annie’s next door for the band/music and River City Cafe. (Music From 1 until 11 pm) The condo has beautiful countertops, floors and tile showers as pictured. Cons: The mattresses were very uncomfortable. We had to purchase some padding at Walmart to make them even remotely comfortable. Also there was no safe in the room for money, important belongings etc. The lock on the door is temperamental and took some getting used to. The WiFi is not good. Dropped calls and very spotty. The code to get on WiFi (posted on the refrigerator) was wrong. We left a couple messages (on our arrival day...Sunday...with an after hours person answering phones) while trying to figure out the code. Neither of our calls were ever returned. We did end up finding the code on our travel email (our bad... but would have been nice for correct code to be on the refrigerator) We could have lived without wifi if not for an important call that had to be made for work on Monday morning. Overall this condo is great for it’s location, music and food next door. We would have given 5 stars if not for the beds.
