We really enjoy our family beach week at this house. Thank you! A special thanks to the maintenance team who came very quickly to fix the AC overflow pan and get the AC going - he was a Peace employee, I believe, and really cared about what he was doing for us. Only complaint is we had limited towels and needed more and we had no extra toilet paper anywhere in house. Also no dishwasher detergent. Again, it was a great stay and we are coming back next year!

Wonderful Big Family Beach Retreat

Tolater is wonderful house that accommodates a large family for a great beach/pool week! We spend an equal amount of time outdoors and indoors and enough room and activities to suit all ages. The bikes from peace vacation is an added bonus to get around the neighborhood and to good fishing spots.

I think our family has stayed at Tolator since the summer it was built. I really appreciate the fact that the owners have continued to invest in the house (e.g., re-did the floors most recently). The pool, the open kitchen and the art room (lower den) for the kids quiet time are all fantastic. Thanks for keeping this one in the rental pool!!!

Lovely sunny beach home. Perfect for a large family gathering.

Lovely clean property. My family kept congratulating me on such a great find. The rooms were all very large and each with their own bathrooms. The third floor room was so adorable and cozy with its private access to the widows watch - perfect for morning yoga. And the porches all around the house allowed a peaceful view of the neighborhood. Super easy access to the beach. We had 16 people and were all very comfortable, Great looking pool and hot tub, though we were there in the winter and didn't take advantage of it. Everything is exactly as it looks in the photos.

Our only disappointment is that there were no beach chairs at our house. Last few years they were provided. Fortunately we had the pool so spent most time there and little time on the actual beach. This was our 15th year in a row renting TOLATER and we love the house! It is the best! (It was our 17th straight summer at DeBordieu. 😃☀️) We had a fabulous time on our vacation! Thank you and have a good rest of your summer!

A favorite house now needs some work

The Tolater has great bedroom/ bathroom configuration, comfortable gathering space for large groups, an efficient kitchen, and a pool!! This year, however, it was showing some wear. The rugs and carpets are noticeably stained. The second dishwasher was out of order and not fixed for our week or several weeks before ours. Water drips through the vent hood over the stove and there are leak stains on the kitchen ceiling. There is nowhere to hang towels (or only one hook) in most of the bathrooms which is curious. It is such a perfect house for our family and we have enjoyed it for years. Here's hoping it gets some attention before next summer.

Golf trip

My group of 8 golfers all agreed that this house was our best lodging in our 19 years of annual golf outings. We had trouble with one of the dishwashers but maintenance responded right away. The only negative event occurred one night with a front gate security person. One of our guys went to dinner with local friends, and the guard informed them they could not re-enter DeBordieu after dinner to bring him to the house, because we had not registered with Peace. The security guard's logic was especially stupid because the locals had been allowed to come in to pick up their friend before dinner, and all we did was call the front gate. I was able to go see the guard and resolve the problem, but it was a very unfriendly situation.

After having come to DeBordieu for more than 30 years, I was so disappointed in the new 200.00 daily fee for the ability to use the facilities. I was told that once paid, “pick which activities you want to do with your family whether it's swimming at the pool, using the fitness center, playing tennis or pickleball, make sure you do it on the same day to take advantage. The club didn't disclose that on top of the 200.00, I would also have to pay the designated fees. The house was great once the air conditioning was fixed, which the owners handled well. Thank goodness for the pool as my grandchildren would not have had a chance to swim without the 200.00 daily fee!!! Thank you for another wonderful family reunion!

We have stayed in this house for many years. (8-10) We were very disappointed to see that the pantry was locked (major inconvenience). A house that accommodates 21 people needs more than a few shelves. We only had 11 spoons and forks when all were clean. The icemaker did not work (major inconvenience). We did enjoy the upgrades (bathrooms).

This was our 13th year of vacating in the TOLATER home. We love it! We found it especially nice that beach towels were provided for the first time! Thank you! Also, many thanks for the large gift trays of delicious sandwich treats! We were very hungry when we arrived and it was wonderful to have have a fabulous lunch at 5:00 o'clock! Only one “request:” The mattress in the master bedroom ,with the palm tree painting, gets more uncomfortable every year. It is “shot” on the edges. Replace??? Thank you for a great time! We are looking forward to another wonderful summer in 2022!

Property and location were great. Rental agency was so responsive and willing to answer all our questions. Only issue we had was with the cleanliness of the property - lots of cobwebs on the furniture and dishes that had been put up in cabinets had food particles. Would definitely stay there again.
