- Look no further, Surfmaster, oceanfront in Garden City Beach, is your premier beach vacation destination! #409 will delight it's guests with all the amenities and comforts of home. Enjoy sunrises and incredible views of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean from your balcony. Upscale furnishings and a well stocked kitchen make this your complete and perfect getaway. Pools and hot tubs offer alternatives to beach days as well as lounging on the oceanfront deck area.
Surfmaster is located 1 mile north of the Garden City Pier in Horry County. Surfmaster features a north and south tower, each having their own elevators, outdoor oceanside pools (open Easter – mid September), outdoor hot tubs, and tiered parking garage. Surfmaster II is the south tower. This twelve-story oceanfront complex offers resort-like amenities and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Feel the ocean breeze, listen to the waves crashing along the shore, and watch a sunrise from your private oceanfront balcony. Take the elevator down and it's only a short walk before you feel the sand beneath your feet. Stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi. Parking is limited and varies per unit size. One bedroom units are issued one parking permit. Two and Three-bedroom units are issued two parking permits. Covered parking has clearance of 7ft. Motorcycles are allowed. Sorry, recreational vehicles, trailers, golf carts, and pets are not permitted.

We were evacuated twice. Once for a storm, and once because their system is old and easily triggered. Our air was out twice, as well. The one time was obviously due to the storm, and the other-not sure. Upon first glance, it looks clean, but as you’re there, you notice the dust on sills, molding, and tops of pictures.The full bath needs the ceiling tiles replaced, as there had been a previous leak and the tiles were all stained. The runner in the hallway was a tripping hazard. It did have the mat underneath, but the edges and corners weren’t secured properly. The parking was very disjointed, and luckily we have CDL’s, but it was like a jigsaw puzzle, and we saw lots of creative maneuvering. Individually, the above were tolerable, but we definitely wouldn’t go back.

Pretty good
Both my husband and I stayed the whole week. My sister and her grandkids stayed in a gated community behind us. Because there were two people in our family that have cancer we were thinking we could park both of our vehicles at surf master. It would have been a lot easier if that would have happened. Carrying all those umbrellas, chairs etc was a lot.😔

Perfect spot right on the beach
This was such a great property for me, my husband and our 2 sons (9, 11). You are right on the beach. Garden City/Surfside is just the right distance between Myrtle Beach (no thanks) and Murrells Inlet. We were there for a Ripken baseball tournament and it was close enough to that, but not in the mess of Myrtle Beach. The only complaint is that the full size pull out sofa was broken (where your pillows would go, it bent down towards the ground). Luckily, my kids didn't care at all. They just put their heads on the other side and their feet sloped down a little. They were so wiped from baseball, sun, and sand that it didn't bother them a bit.
Maintenance was super-responsive to one issue with the dishwasher that ended up being user error.

Peaceful getaway
Location and view can’t be beat. We love the large balcony and the condo was stocked with all we needed and had ample storage. Could use a deep clean but other than that we enjoyed our stay very much!
