Tiny House with stunning mountain views, steps from Arrow lake. Pet- friendly!
8/10 Good
"The Good:
- The tiny house was very clean!!!
- The hosts were great! They had the lights and heater on when we arrived, and they gave us a lovely little tour to get us settled.
- The ferry ride was fun.
- There was a window A/C unit and portable heaters to ensure we were comfortable.
- The towels were so soft!
- The main bed was comfy. Not sure about the other bed as the kids slept there.
The Surprising:
- There’s basically NO CELL SERVICE and no wifi. This was a problem for our group as we didn’t come prepared with any card games, etc. (It might be nice to have some provided).
- The shower is in a little tent outside. I’m not sure where you’d set your clothes or towel while showering as there’s no private space to dress. Unfortunately, it wasn’t working when we were there, but the hosts allowed us to use another shower in another tiny house, but there were zero window coverings in the bathroom and the water went cold after only a few minutes.
- The “1.5 baths” is actually 2 outhouses/pit toilets that you share with other groups.
- Many of the window coverings were sheer (see through) and one window had no covering. The morning sun effectively woke us all up bright and early. The sheer curtains also made us uncomfortable when changing (especially when it was dark outside).
- You can’t see the lake from the tiny house, but the view is still beautiful.
Would we stay there again? Yes, but it wouldn’t be our first choice b/c the price seemed a bit high for the value."
"Our family really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Everything from the spectacular location overlooking the lake, to the pool, hot-tub and sprawling space of the house was fantastic. Tirzah and Jay were available for any request we had, and were exceptionally pleasant to deal with."
"First off, the property is beautiful. Surrounded by big trees and lots of space to play and enjoy just being outside. and can't go without mentioning the wonderful flowers and gardening. It truly is quite an oasis.with The lake being right there and away from the busy Okanagan, it's hard to beat a location like this. As far as the accommodations, it was very cozy and very inviting. The hosts thought of everything, every detail was on point and well thought out. Plenty of room for our family of six. It truly felt like a home. Now, all of this would not be as wonderful as it is without the wonderful hosts Shelly and Ross. They were so very welcoming and helpful for anything that came up. Not even just for things to do with the stay, but they are a pleasure to just chat with and get to know one another. We can't say enough good things about Shelly, Ross and the whole experience as a whole. This definitely exceeded our expectations and we all all loved it so much even if it was for only two nights. Our family like to move around and try different places on our summer vacations, but this just may be one of our return destinations. Many thanks to you Ross and Shelly"
