Short gentle walk to one of the most SECLUDED, CLEAN, PRIVATE salt water beaches on the island.

This house is far enough from the crowds in Nantucket, yet closer to the supermarket and other services than most other outlying areas on the island. Bike paths will take you either to the picturesque village of Sconset or to the more than 80 miles of Nantucket beaches. The Tom Nevers area of the island features dense natural foliage, a surrounding ring of conservation land, expansive views and miles of secluded beaches. The higher elevation and gentle rises offer cooler breezes than the rest of the island.

For a truly memorable experience, take your four-wheel drive out to secluded Great Point to fish and see the best sunrise on the island!

Enjoy the numerous shops and restaurants, museums, library, art galleries as well as live theater and entertainment. You might even try a historic stroll or even a ghost walk at night! In town, at the wharves, you can sign up for fishing trips or join available bus, taxi or walking tours of the island.

Cozy Guesthouse in Tom Nevers

Beautiful, cozy guesthouse. Very clean, simple nautical theme with lots of light. Tom Nevers is about 6 miles from the city center of Nantucket, but delightfully quiet with a beautiful beach. Absolutely no light pollution, so the unspoiled starry skies at night were a sight to behold!

Quiet picturesque retreat

My family (husband and 2 kids-teen/tween) enjoyed our stay as a home base to our time on Nantucket. The cottage was well equipped for us to cook the meals we wanted. We also had game nights at the kitchen table with many laughs that left us with great memories. The beach is so close and we enjoyed our walks. The cottage was so cute and decorated in the Nantucket vibe I adore.

The Great Escape

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in a beach location, this is it! This home was immaculate and beautifully decorated . It was perfectly situated just a short walk to the beach. I haven’t slept this good in months, I wish I could have taken the mattress home with me. The description was all that and more! Thank you Frank for sharing your home with us. The pictures don't do the cottage justice! We were so pleasantly surprised to see how open and roomy it was, as well as the views of the water right in front of us. A great location! Will definitely be back!!

Best rental on the island!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The beach (which is fabulous) was 6 houses away..and we practically had it to ourselves the entire week. The cottage had plenty of room for a family of four. We enjoyed grilling out at the courtyard every evening (as well as stargazing every night). We only drove into town twice, as we had every thing we needed right at the rental. The owner, Frank, was gracious and helpful throughout our entire stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this to our family and friends. This was exactly the type of vacation we needed to fully relax. The pictures do not even do this rental justice..it was even better than we were expecting!

Beautiful, peaceful property

This was a beautiful, private house a short walk to a gorgeous beach. There were so many beautiful outdoor areas to relax and enjoy the ocean views and gorgeous landscaping. It was a short drive to many incredible restaurants and a cobblestoned Main St. Lined with many shops. We had a fantastic time as a family!

Easy check in / out process, communication with the property manager was easy! Bikes were a huge hit, a quick 20 minute ride and you’re having coffee in sconset. We will be back!

We visited in what is considered the pre-season (April), and found the area immensely quiet and relaxing. There are tons of deer on the island, and we discovered grey and harbor seals on the nearby beach to the children’s delight. The neighborhood is far off from the bustle of the downtown, and a short walk from a lovely expanse of beach. You’ll need a car or have to take a taxi to get out to the house, but it’s worth it if you’re looking to relax and have easy beach access. The house itself was lovely, easily capable of sleeping the four members of our family. Kitchen was perfectly serviceable and we had no trouble stocking up on supplies and cooking meals. There was a minor problem with the toilet getting hung up that required us to reach into the back tank to get the water flowing again that was minor but occurred a few too many times. Easy to fix, but not what you expect to deal with.

Very nice location!

We loved our stay! We enjoyed the quietness of the area, the lovely deck and very comfortable home. We cooked on the very nice grille, went bike riding, and walked just a few blocks to the beach from the cottage. The owners were very accommodating and helpful.

Our family had a terrific time at this guest cottage off the main house. It had what we needed as we spent most of our time out at the beach, going to restaurants, or other activities. Frank the owner was incredibly kind with offering a binder of things to do and places to go, and was very responsive. We had a great trip overall - thank you!

We loved this property. Just off a private beach, friendly neighbors, lovely views from second floor deck. Owner very accommodating and responsive to questions. Car or ride service required for getting into town, but that wasnt a problem for us. I would definitely rent again.

Nantucket escape

Frank's place was perfectly situated just seconds from the beach. We enjoyed frequent walks morning, noon, and dusk. We brought our car, and access around the island was easy from this location. The property was clean and well-stocked in terms of towels, sheets, blankets, and paper products. Frank was incredibly responsive when I emailed him about the status of the coffee maker before our trip! While there was nothing that made our trip surprising or difficult, a few things that would have helped are 1) knowing that the second bedroom is accessed via a second door in the bathroom; 2) a manual detailing beach access, remote control use, etc; 3) the kitchen is well-stocked but small; a pantry to store food would be fantastic. Overall, we loved our stay and would gladly return. We highly recommend this property.
