The hotel was very conveniently located, with a nice large room and a modern bathroom and a nice view. The staff was always friendly, helpful and accommodating. I didn’t like that the reception closed fairly early and some items in the bathroom need updating.

I honestly was not expecting this, but the conditions of our hotel was very poor. We didn’t get a chance to inspect the room completely before settling in shortly after checkout, but when nighttime came, we really wished we had. Our bed was full of hairs of other people (eyelashes, Long hairs, etc), the bed runner at the edge of the bed was dirty, the shower was also filled with eyelashes and other hairs, and the water tank was leaking all night and creating a massive puddle. The drips were so loud that it kept us up all night. I felt so disgusted that I showered with some plastic sandals, refusing to touch the floor at all. In terms of the bed, we had no choice but to lay some travel clothes down so my face didn’t come into contact with the dirty sheets. We tried calling the hotel staff but they weren’t there during nighttime. We called Expedia instead and when checking out the next morning, the front desk lady was super apologetic and said this never happens and fully refunded us which we really appreciated.

This was a super basic hotel. The location is convenient and an easy walk from the train station. It is also a close walk to the historic district where you’ll find lots of restaurants, bars and cafes. While we expected very basic accommodations for the price, there were some issues with our room that I need to flag: 2 of 3 windows did not open/were broken, there were missing fixtures and large holes in the drywall, and overall the furniture was quite flimsy. While there was a wardrobe no hangers were provided. Overall if you’re looking for a bed for a quick stop over this is okay, but I wouldn’t recommend to friends.
