Hostel Mancini is a lovely budget stay in Naples. I felt very secure in the building. When I first arrived, I worried that it was in a bit of a sketchy area, but I never felt unsafe while staying at the Hostel. The manager and staff are exceptionally welcoming and kind. They provide travelers with all the information about the area that they could possibly need. The hostel provides a solid breakfast option with coffee, toast, and yogurt.

The private room for a hostel was pretty good. It had free wifi, shared toilet, shower, air-conditioning, and small elevator to 3rd floor. Outside the property it was close to restaurants, and had 2 convenience stores in 1 block. We bought water, fresh fruit and snacks. It was within walking distance to trains and local buses.

some advice

If you traveled alone and you were a girl, I advise you not to arrive at the hostel too late. It's better to check-in before the sky turns dark. The nearby environment is not so secure because most of the stores are closed which makes the street really dark. And there is no instruction there. It's in a building and you need to find the floor which is posted the name of the hostel and talk to the speaker then you can get in the building. It costed me half an hour to an hour to find the hostel.

I really enjoyed my stay. My only complaint would be that I struggled to get my keys to work in any door and was treated with condescension when i asked about it. I was then told there's a trick to it. Especially disappointing when you consider a fellow traveller was robbed trying to get into the front door. Aside from that the staff was friendly and helpful, atmosphere inside the hostel was fantastic, and the staff maintained a good level of cleanliness.

Great hostel

Had a great time here during my stay. The owner was really nice and welcoming, and gave me tips around the city. Rest of the staff were nice and helpful as well. The rooms are big and comfortable, they got a nice kitchen where they serve a nice breakfast every morning and a relaxed lounge area. Overall, very satisfied with my stay and will come back the next time I’m in Napoli!
