In the heart of the beautiful Cathar country, the villa boasts wonderful views front and back - large, private pool and a 10 minute walk to the lovely, unspoiled village of Durban. Only 45 minutes drive to airports in Perpignan and Carcassonne. Minutes walk from numerous vineyards. Small supermarket in the village plus bank, boulangerie and bar/restaurant. Michelin star restaurant in the near-by village of Fontjoncouse which takes 10 minutes by car.

Séjour parfait pendant lequel nous bien profiter de la piscine privée pour se refraîchir sous une température caniculaire. IdGîte dans lequel sont fournis les draps et les serviettes de toilettes et de piscine, c'est vraiment appréciable.Idéalement situé sur flan de colline pour profiter de la vue et pas trop loin du centre du village.

Revisted pool with a view

Visted four times now and enjoy the private pool and easily accessed village on foot, a perfect get away. Dave and Jeanne went beyond the call of duty in a crisis and Linda was easy to contact and attentive.

het huis was helemaal zoals beschreven in de advertentie, heel rustige buurt en prachtig uitzicht. Voor ons persoonlijk te ver afgelegen van alles, wij zijn bezoekers van stadjes en we moesten heel ver rijden vooraleer we in interessante stadjes waren. Het zwembadwater was veel te koud dus hebben er ook geen gebruik van gemaakt. We moesten het zwembad afdekken maar doordat het draaisysteem van het zeil kapot was konden wij dat onmogelijk doen. De fauteuils in de living hadden ook hun beste dag gehad, je moest de zitting ondersteunen met kussens ofwel gleed je er zo weer uit. Ook was er blijkbaar een muizenplaag in het dakgebinte want we hoorden de hele nacht het getrippel tussen het dakgebinte en vonden 's morgens ook iedere keer wat zaagsel van het gebinte in de gang boven. We zijn eigenlijk enkel in het huisje geweest om te slapen en te ontbijten ( hoewel er ook geen koffiezetapparaat aanwezig was). Ook in de mini-badkamer was er een probleem met het water, er was praktisch geen druk op het water waardoor een douchebeurt wel heel lang duurde. Bij onze aankomst werkte er ook geen enkele sfeerlamp maar dit werd opgelost door de heel vriendelijke Jeanne en haar echtgenoot. Zij waren heel vriendelijk. Al bij al viel onze vakantie mee maar toch gaan wij geen 2 de keer gebruik maken van het huisje wegens te ver van alles en een beetje te verouderd.

très bon acceuil belle maison. très belle piscine. le patiot ombragé est très agréable même lorsqu'il fait très chaud (idéal pour l'apéro). la vue est superbe. si voulez aller au resto, je vous conseille chez prano ( 5 minute en voiture; produits frais et très bien cuisinés) voilà, bon séjour.

We had a very pleasant stay at the house in Durban! Surrounded by beautiful nature, it‘s the right place to enjoy a peaceful and quiet vacation. The private pool is the icing on the cake! Awesome view across the valley and on the villages’ castle. Would recommend to everyone who wants to enjoy a non-touristic place in France!

Logement très bien aménagé et très calme dans un beau petit village.

Nous avons passé 10 jours au mois d’août dans ce logement. Totalement privé (les propriétaires ne sont pas là à l’année), très propre et très bien aménagé (cuisine complète avec tous les ustensiles possibles), très bien agencé, nous étions 2 mais largement grand pour 4 personnes. L’extérieur au top, coin repas ombragé, petite table de terrasse à l’écart, piscine tres agréable. Des bémols tout de même: pas de tv mais ce n’est qu’un détail, logement n’acceptant pas les chiens (à notre grand désarroi) mais nous respectons les vœux des propriétaires, piscine assez froide à notre arrivée (je pense qu’elle venait d’être remplie), et dernier point qui nous a beaucoup perturbé, coupures d’eau de 14h à 18h et de 22h à 5h sous motif de restriction. En fin de séjour nous n’avons pas pu nous laver car apparemment un filtre était bouché (le monsieur qui entretient les lieus à tout de même été rapide et efficace pour régler ce problème). Nous n’avons pas trop compris le diagnostic car le tuyau d’arrosage extérieur fonctionnait lors des coupures d’eau… Hormis ce dernier point, notre séjour a été très agréable. Le village est un peu à l’écart de tout mais en 30 minutes/1 heure de route il y a énormément de choses à voir. Nous retenons cette adresse pour un éventuel futur séjour.

Très agréable.

Un super séjour chez Linda comme toujours, c’était la deuxième fois que nous venons et sa maison est toujours autant reposante et agréable avec la piscine, la terrasse et la vue. Cette année dû à la sécheresse nous avons eu des coupures d’eau ( 14h-18h / 22h-5h ) mais cela n’a pas était dérangeant pour nous. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter comme toujours . À bientôt.
